DNA links this serial rapist and murderer to the crime. Perhaps with a few more conservative SCOTUS appointments by the Trump Administration, states will once again be able to execute serial murdering rapists, regardless of their age.

I say try him as an adult. He is entitled to his day in court. But if he did these things he should be locked up forever. His age means he can’t be executed. But he can be imprisoned for life w/o parole.

I’m in favor of the death penalty, but I can’t imagine why one would think spending the rest of one’s life in prison is preferable to death.

The way I see it, the death penalty will be applied one way or another. If society doesn’t execute convicted murderers, murderers will apply the death penalty to innocent citizens.

Governments shouldn’t kill people.

Governments are comprised of citizens. Citizens are what make up the jury pool of which the guilty are convicted. Juries of citizens decide life or death.

The problem still remains that most times it takes decades to finally get them to the execution. Some have sat on death row 30-40 years.
