Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is tripling down on student debt.
In an announcement today along with House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (D-SC), the presidential candidate announced the Student Loan Debt Relief Act of 2019.
Warren first pitched a student debt plan as a presidential candidate in April, and then again as a senator in June.
Taken together, Warrens plans attack student debt in three ways: Cancelling debt, reforming the predatory or lousy student loan system thats in place, and making college free for all.
The duo hopes that this would end the student debt crisis, on top of helping millions of struggling families obtain financial stability and closing the racial wealth gap. The move comes a day after Warren published a dire warning that the economy was in danger of collapsing.

OK. Cancel all student loans. Problem solved.
All those that paid get what again?
Oh yeah! We get to pay for theirs too!
With this, the schools will just hike the cost more!
Why not? The feds paid up before, suckers attended willingly, and now they will have a guarenteed money line because these schools arent going to indoctrinate for free.
What about those of us who had hardly any student debt because we worked full time the whole time we were in college and chose a major that needed only a bachelor's to get in and get valuable experience? :) (In my case it was computer science.) Am I to be punished with higher taxes to pay for other people's worthless masters degrees at high cost institutions (while I went to junior college, then a public university)? :)
Typical liberal politician, trying to buy their political future by giving away your tax dollars. That ploy is the only thing that has kept the democrat party afloat for decades and it has and continues to hurt the rest of America.
Communist shrew.

Communist squaw shrew, or shrew squaw.
Seems you can buy votes legally this way.
Good, recoup all the money from their schools
that benefitted from the Largess
Yes you will have to pay the price. The liberals have not thought through some of the implications of this idea. Nor have they addressed any concept of fairness with it. It’s a vote buying scheme. Vote Democrat and your student loan goes away.
One huge thing...the money collected goes to fund the federal retirements for the congress and staffers.
Mostly it is delaying the inevitable but parents still die and leave helpless kids behind.
Look at the lying whore trying to buy votes with other people’s money.
Does the bill also require the universities that overcharged the students in the first place have to return the money?
So every podunk college can now charge the government the same as Harvard does for a Business BA. Why shouldn’t they? And do you think this will make education cheaper?
You can, of course, go to the "free college for all" model, in which half of the administrators are fired and the faculty and staff go to work at government wages. That might be affordable but a little hard on the participants since it's essentially drafting all of academia. This may actually be the shakeup that the American higher education system so badly needs, come to think of it, but it's pretty rough medicine. Be careful what you wish for...
Like burning down the house to get rid of spiders.
Now how about one to cancel all mortgage debt?
Easy to throw around Trillions when it’s not yours and you won’t be responsible for the fallout.
I paid my tuition in cash at the bursars office. Took me seven years to graduate, but I walked out without debt
Between Harvard, Princton, Yale, and Stanford, their endowments total 1.12 Trillion Dollars.
Sieze that why dontcha Warren ??
