I have a different # in mind...
Today WATER ... Tomorrow ACID.
From the article:
PBA president Patrick Lynch said, Our anti-cop lawmakers have gotten their wish: the NYPD is now frozen.
He added that the attacks were the end result of the torrent of bad policies and anti-police rhetoric that has been streaming out of City Hall and Albany for years now.
Lynch said, We are approaching the point of no return.
He went on to say that disorder controls the streets and elected leaders refuse to allow us to take them back.
The politicians may not care about the dangerous levels of chaos in our neighborhoods, but police officers and decent New Yorkers should not be forced to suffer.
It sounds like the NY cops are soon going to refuse to do any policing. Venezuela, anyone?
“Voters get what they deserve with voting in De Blasio.”
Not hardly. NY City deserves utter bankruptcy and collapse. The Marxist mayor and his welfare hordes ironically live off the taxes of mostly 200 or so Uber-wealthy crony capitalists who live and trade in that city. The next bear market will take them all down.
This is exactly the way NO GO ZONES come to be.
France, Sweden, Germany, England & South Africa now know what that means,
although for slightly different reasons.
If I were a cop, why would I want to go where I clearly was not wanted or valued. Moreso, I’m putting myself and partner in danger of assault and battery by folks who don’t think they have anything to lose. Folks who take being jailed as “Juss one-a those things thass gon happin’ sooner or later,
KnowwhatI’msayin?”
What are the practical choices? Private Security, Neighborhood Vigilante, National Guard?
Or, just giving them a Safe(enclosed) Place to shoot and rob each other to the point of their own extinction.
The last option would be a sad sign that normal folks had given up trying to make the troubled areas any better.
All the kids growing up in such areas would know the feeling of being seen as hopeless. And thus seeds the next generation of lowlifes.
Really? Because it kinda looks like you are tolerating it.
Cops are alienating more and more of the public. At this point, I have what I need to protect myself and my family. The cops are on their own. I won’t lift a finger to help them.
Well, let’s have some ROE. Flipping arresting officers off is tolerable disrespect. Throwing things is not. Cursing is tolerable. Spitting or urinating on them is not. Throwing big, heavy, life-threatening things at them means they will draw weapons and shoot, but then you get to have a BLM rally in your honor. Up to you.
These cops allowed themselves to be assaulted while not taking enforcement action and they should be held accountable. By walking away, they are only encouraging more scumbags to attack police. Back in the day a (10-13) assist officers, would have been called and the perpetrators would have been arrested.
I’m trying to imagine the reaction from one of Frank Rizzo’s Philly cops to this type of nonsense.....
These ghetto people don’t seem to understand that the police they so despise are the only thing protecting them from the large number of working Americans that would simply exterminate them if it were legal.
These cities call themselves sanctuary cities when, in fact, they are really just third world $hitholes, occupied by the trash that came to America from third world $hitholes.
“New York police slam videos showing officers pelted with objects, drenched with water”
Really? They’re slamming the videos? Shouldn’t they be slamming the people throwing stuff?
Personally, I think it’s great these videos are out (not that the cops got drenched).
“fundamental transformation” writ large, thank Obama.
Arresting people for breaking the law is Raycis.
Once the Democrats have eliminated the Republican party you will see PLENTY of police all over the place all the time!
The next time people in that hood call for the police don’t show up,if they want to live like animals let it be so.
So the do nothing take anything NYPD acting as cowards are pissed that they are exposed as such?
