The FBI believed then-candidate Donald Trump was closely involved in a scheme to hide hush-money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claimed an affair with Trump, court documents from the closed campaign finance case against former Trump-fixer Michael Cohen show.
The documents, released Thursday, describe a "series of calls, text messages, and emails" between Cohen, Trump, Trump campaign aide Hope Hicks, Keith Davidson — an attorney for the woman, porn star Stormy Daniels — and David Pecker, an executive of the company that published the National Enquirer.
"I have learned that in the days following the Access Hollywood video, Cohen exchanged a series of calls, text messages and emails with Keith Davidson, who was then Clifford's attorney, David Pecker and Dylan Howard of American Media, Inc. ("AMI"), the publisher of the National Enquirer, Trump, and Hope Hicks, who was then press secretary for Trump's presidential campaign," an FBI agent investigating the matter wrote in the released documents.
"Based on the timing of these calls, and the content of the text messages and emails, I believe that at least some of these communications concerned the need to prevent Clifford from going public, particularly in the wake of the Access Hollywood story," the agent said.
Daniels' legal name is Stephanie Clifford.

Can the media give it a rest? Stormy Daniels is baked into the cake, so to speak, as far as potentially hurting Trump, everyone already knows about her and there’s nothing new to hash over

It’s nothing. It was his money. This was not mentioned in the Mueller report, but it will do one big thing. It will get the media off the 4 women of the
apocalypse. Big time.
The FBI may suspect that I pleasure myself online. And if I run for President, it's not something that should be investigated. It also shouldn't be investigated if I don't run. Meanwhile, the FBI only pretends to investigate Hillary for her actual crimes as S of S, and doesn't even seem to bother to investigate Bill's rapes and trips on the Plane to Pedo Island.
Basically, FBI was being used to do oppo research for Hillary.
Paid for with taxpayer money.
While other serious crimes (like Hillary's server, bribes delivered to her "family foundation," etc.) weren't investigated.
So, Trump paid with his own money, maybe into the hundreds of thousands to make people go away.
We have the Clintons taking hundreds of millions. Bidens taking into the billions.
Considering that the Clintons and Bidens had no power at all, under Obama, and Obama is the real power, it would be interesting to know if he shared in that money or if he had his own revenue stream... (OK, I realize, Obama was himself a puppet, but a puppet with signature authority...)
