‘Trump’s Going to Get Re-elected, Isn’t He?’
The New York Times ^ | June 16, 2019 | Thomas L. Friedman

Posted on 07/17/2019 9:27:09 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I’m struck at how many people have come up to me recently and said, “Trump’s going to get re-elected, isn’t he?” And in each case, when I drilled down to ask why, I bumped into the Democratic presidential debates in June. I think a lot of Americans were shocked by some of the things they heard there. I was.

There’s an old Arabic expression that translates roughly into “people prefer a strong horse to a weak one”.

Similar to the old political adage: "You can't beat a someone with a nobody." The lack of substance was apparent to all who watched the Democrat debates. We watched with glee, the Democrats with sad realization.

Yes, Virginia, there is truly a Santa Claus.
POTUS TRUMP’s Virtues are one and the same of many normal and sane Americans. We are ONE.

Fearless, this foreboding man is willing to go the extra mile and then some for our USA. What d-rat professes to do the same? They invade, plunder and escape with their booty to parts and places unknown to any but them.

We need to be driven & enthusiastic ( opposites of complacent) Redistricting in 2021 / 2022 for Congressional seats & state legislatures depend on majorities in state houses & governors.

You are welcome.

It’s tough sledding, but t least we now have an executive branch interested in pursuing such chicanery, rather than aiding it.

Judicial Watch has been doing great work.

It’s fine—my browser goes to a search engine for anything I highlight. Just thought you might like to know for future reference.

I know you’re not the author of the article, but this is too much:

“So, I wasn’t surprised to hear so many people expressing fear that the racist, divisive, climate-change-denying, woman-abusing jerk who is our president was going to get re-elected, and was even seeing his poll numbers rise.”

There is ZERO proof Pres Trump is a racist, in fact, lots of proof he doesn’t care the color of your skin, but can you get the job done.

He wasn’t racist, or divisive prior to his announcement for office - but somehow, here we are.

I’m a man-made climate-change-denier - so what? I truly believe I don’t know if the climate is changed from what it was 40 years ago. I’m only 50. I do know that there is room for doubt as to what is any particular cause. There’s well known documentation of the ‘heat island’ effect, where we have so much concrete in the cities (Houston, 4th largest by population, and I’d posit maybe #1 metro areas in the country for size). I know that on the 45 minute drive home, I cross several “loops” - 610, Beltway 8 / Sam Houston Toll Road, and Hwy 6/FM1960. When I cross that last one, and I’m surrounded primarily by farmland and sparse housing, the temperature drops 10 F, easily. Observation? Yup. Fact? Maybe.

I’ve heard him say he COULD grab’em by the pu55y, but not that he ever has. I’ve not heard him every arrested, charged, or legitimately investigated for a criminal offense against a woman. So, I don’t think he’s a woman-abusing jerk.

I think the author doesn’t like him - and that’s the author’s prerogative. But he’s submitting “facts into evidence” that just aren’t so.

Who wants to vote for foreigners, death and taxes? We already had that with Obama.

Actually, I think he’s going to lose the election. Because the opposition is more fired up than the Trump supporters.
Mark my words.

I think just for giggles, el presidente’ should start having campaign rallies in the states he didn’t win... just to make the dimwits spend money they don’t have... plus it would just rattle their cans even more....

I was shocked that so many candidates in the party whose nominee I was planning to support want to get rid of the private health insurance covering some 250 million Americans and have “Medicare for all” instead. I think we should strengthen Obamacare and eventually add a public option.

Which would pretty much have the same result in the long run. And that's why Biden might be more dangerous than Kamala and Warren: His agenda sounds less threatening to naive voters. But "You can keep your doctor," which recently escaped from his mouth, was not smart.

I don't think "you can keep your doctor" is going to work a second time. It's totally identified with ObamaCare, and there are too many recordings — both audio and video — of Obama saying it, many times.

The Democrats totally own it, and there's no way they can ever shake it off.

Doing the heavy lifting that our elected representatives and the fake news media have failed — or outright refused — to do.
