A fave of mine...
Mine too. Hilarious movie.
Very funny movie. “Never give up, never surrender!”
I liked it, though I thought it could have been made hilarious.
Maybe they should have hit it with a rock.
Great movie!!!
Sigourny never looked better, either ...
Top 3 definitely. Defined as any scene can be on at any time and I wouldn’t wish to be watching anything else (shares that with Tangled, & M.P.’s Holy Grail)
“Didja even watch the show?!?”
I love Galaxy Quest. But Ghostbusters was a better movie. IMHO anyway.
If either are on Ill change the channel to watch them. Tim Allens shirtless Shatner impression is priceless and those ST actors (other than Shatner I assume) find Galaxy Quest hilarious.
Sigourney Weaver is pretty hot in either movie but best wearing brief, briefs in Alien.
One of my favs as well.
A sequel was cancelled when Alan Rickman passed away.
I wrote the synopsis of a possible sequel to Tim Allen on his website, that would take into account the untimely death of Rickman..................
Loved that movie.
- Jason Nesmith: All right, let’s settle down. If we’re going to get through this we’re going to need self control.
- Gwen DeMarco: Self control? That’s funny coming from the guy that slept with every Terrakian slave girl and Moon Princess on the show.
Look, I have one job on this lousy ship. Its stupid, but Im going to do it, okay?
The belittled, hyper-observant-of-every-miniscule-detail fans were the only ones who knew how to direct the crew to the Omega 13.
13 seconds. Brilliant in its simplicity.
But the crew had to navigate the choppers.
There’s a lot to extract from that movie, even regarding the true nature and motives of cute, compassionate little aliens.
Galaxy Quest was a hit. Perhaps it justly would have been bigger: at the time, I’d’ve said it was on about par with Ghostbusters; it certainly has aged better.
Probably the best Star Trek movie made.
I don’t agree with George Takei on a lot of things, but I liked his description of “Galaxy Quest”: “chillingly accurate”.
I have never cared for Kevin Kline as an actor. He was probably passed over because he is not a box-office draw.
Love Galaxy Quest. Got to meet the writer a couple of years ago. He just moved out of LA.
I'm not sure what galaxy Kathy Shaide is in, but Ghostbusters (1984) came out 15 year before Galaxy Quest (1999).
Shoulda beat the pants off Ghostbusters, IMHO.
I LOVE this movie! Of course I’m a YUGE Star Trek fan.
I am NOT a fan of comedies. Mostly because they are not funny, they are stupid.
I wouldn’t call this a comedy, per se. It is hilarious in places not “stupid”.
Like Steyn said, it is NOT a Star Trek parody.
