Dear Free Republic friends,
Free Republic seems to be in a constant fund raising mode. We can change this.
During the past several years some of us began pledging our support either monthly or quarterly. To date the monthly pledges have raised dependable income to close to the 50% level. Currently we need only $2000. in pledges to achieve that goal. Our average pledge is $20. monthly. We need 100 FReepers to begin pledging monthly to achieve this milestone. Some pledges are substantially higher. That is a personal decision you must make based on your financial condition and personal commitment.
For me, personally, I do not support very many causes financially. This allows me to make a larger pledge to FR. I donate $100. monthly from my retirement income. This is a sacrificial pledge for me but one I believe represents the most I can do for something to which I am deeply committed.
Most of those who follow my posts have been in the FR community for many years. You are the primary source of support for this site. If you have not yet stepped up your support to a monthly pledge I encourage you to do so during this current FReepathon.
We all live on a razor's edge. This site could disappear forever in an instant. The one sure way we have to keep it alive is with our financial support.
For those who are more recent members of this unique community there is no better time to begin to show your commitment to keep FR alive.
Make your pledge prayerfully and thoughtfully as an expression of your belief in the importance in your life of this remarkable site.

Don’t worry. Your stance is the preferred one here. I’m the outsider who is committed to and would die for our Free Republic as in our founding documents, best chance of liberty on this particular planet so far, but I guess I am not anti other people’s freedoms. Or I just don’t think putting down people for their legal sexualities is funny. Or both.
The owner JimRob and the mods are ok with anti gay derogatories. It is only myself who isn’t comfortable.
