I’m pretty sure the purpose of identity politics is creative destruction.

Heheh. Ain't it fun.
You can't build a winning team when, as coach, you teach your team members that they are victims and not responsible for their weaknesses. Instead of overcoming their weaknesses (and improving), they blame everyone else for them (and that includes you, Coach).
The results: they get weaker and they keep on losing. And they get angrier and angrier.

Latinos are “persons of color” only for matters of convenience. AOC barely has a tan.

The democrat party has nothing except identity politics. It has been dividing people into separate warring groups for years. I’m super happy that there are divisions within the warring groups, and hope that the whole artificial construct falls apart.

Doesn’t help us that white conservatives relish the role of punching bag instead of skillfully playing one side against another.

Today Microsoft sent (emailed) me a new "Terms of Service" agreement, whose "code of Conduct" includes a prohibition of "hate speech."
"Hate speech" is not defined and - as we all know - the term is often used on the left to describe any speech they disagree with, including speech that contains no threats, no obscenities, no vulgar terms, or any of the other markers that we might associate with hate speech. It might be a statement as simple as, "I oppose same-sex marriage as a violation of my Christian principles," or "I believe there are only two genders - male and female."
I am wondering if this missive from Microsoft is routine, coming out as part of a regular schedule of updates, or is intended for some specific purpose or corporate strategy, e.g., targeting conservatives during the upcoming election cycle.

Now where have I seen that.

It produces bigotry. It produces division. It produces a victim mentality.
And, it needs a villain -- real or manufactured.

Overall a pretty good article but...
"...of Americas first African American president."
Bubba said he was the first black president.
I believe him. After all, you are what you eat.
