There were 37 mass shootings in the seven days ended July 8, 2019
“Mass Shooting” has a highly specific definition in FBI crime statistics.
From memory - it’s three or more dead, usually in a public place, the victims typically do not know the shooter, and the shooter is not engaged in any other crime.
If my memory is correct, domestic violence shootings, gang related shootings, and shootings that involve another crime like robbery, are not classified as mass shootings.
Also, the number of dead people - three minimum - determines a mass shooting, not the number of wounded.

Colin Flaherty is talking about black shooters (who tend to be ignored by the media).
Shootings are only vital and important when the perps are black and the shooters are white
LIES. There were NOT 37 mass shootings in a week. The Demonrat media defines “mass shootings” not as the FBI does, but as they want, so that their gun-ban agenda moves forward. I will not comply, and if Swalwell nukes us as he and the Demonrats promise, there will be a civil war and hell to pay.
Also, the number of dead people - three minimum - determines a mass shooting, not the number of wounded.
Thats stupid. Just because they didnt die doesnt mean they werent shot. If you take out the dead requirement we have a couple of mass shootings a week here in ChiTown.

Re: “That’s stupid.”
It’s not my definition.
That’s how the FBI defines “Mass Shooting.”
If you look at every “Mass Shooting” in the FBI data base, all of them have at least three dead.
I agree.
I'm talking about the FBI definition of “Mass Shooting,” which refers to school shootings, the Las Vegas concert massacre, work place shootings, church shootings, etc.
The FBI does not include gang violence under their definition of “Mass Shooting.”
Its not my definition.
I know. No criticism of you was intended.
Enjoy your day.

Re: There is no widely accepted definition of the term mass shooting.
I agree.
However, FBI data has a specific entry for “Mass Shooting,” and it excludes gang violence, etc.
In the video, someone apparently criticized the author because the author shows so many photos of Black gang violence, but the FBI statistics show that most “Mass Shooters” are white guys.
In fact, most “Mass Shooters” are white guys.
But, the reason for that is the specific definition constructed by the FBI.
