SUMMERFIELD Marion County sheriffs officials say a homeowner armed with an AR-15 shot and killed two intruders and was injured himself during a home invasion robbery in Summerfield Wednesday night.
Two other robbery suspects Robert John Hamilton, 19, of Ocala, and Seth Adam Rodriguez, 22, of Belleview were detained near the scene, according to the Marion County Sheriffs Office.
Nigel Doyle, 22, of Summerfield, and Keith Jackson Jr., 21, Ocala, were killed. The homeowner, whose name was not released by the Sheriffs Office, was in stable condition at a hospital Thursday afternoon.
Rodriguez was arrested on charges of murder and home invasion robbery with a firearm. Hamilton faces home invasion robbery with a firearm. Both men were being held in the Marion County Jail without bond.
Deputies got the call at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday and went to the home at 14999 SE 32nd Court Road in response to a report of shots fired.
Sgt. Micah Moore found Doyle with a gunshot wound and a shotgun next to him on the ground. Deputies entered the home and found Jackson dead on the dining room floor. Detectives said he was wearing a Jason mask on top of his head, gloves on both hands, jeans and a black shirt.
Near Jacksons head was a semi-automatic pistol, detectives said.
Continuing into the home, deputies found the 61-year-old homeowner in a bedroom.
He had an AR-15 rifle on his legs and was bleeding from a gunshot wound to the stomach, according to sheriffs officials. Doyle and the homeowner were transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center, where Doyle died.

It could be both.
They always say that because the boys give them half of what they steal.
There were 4 home invaders here. I’d prefer to have more than 5 rounds available. If multiple people are shooting at me my aim might be off. If you’re worried about penetration a pistol caliber carbine is a good bet.
Unfortunately two survived. But, in cases such as these, half a loaf is much better than none.
This is all a lie. POS Hogg and his lesbo pal Cue-ball says this never happens!!

“”Since the top two were killed, those mug shots were from previous arrests, or when they played college football.””

Ugh! Imagine waking up and seeing THOSE four in your house!
I’ve done several transactions via Craigslist. With one exception they were done in public places with plenty of people around.
Nevertheless any transactions through a place like Craigslist must be handled with caution and common sense.
Our county Sheriff has an area at the main office that is specifically setup up near the front door (with video cameras) to complete just such transactions.
I have a Mossberg 20ga SA with #4 buckshot.
It’s one of Massad Ayoob’s first choices for home defense.
Now, you can call me a pussy. You can call Equine1952 a pussy.

3 Blacks and a Mexican. The only unusual features are the first names.
Studies have shown the exact opposite to be true. "Over-penetration" is a greater risk with .00 buckshot, 9mm or .45ACP than with a 5.56.

There is a reason dynamic-entry professionals prefer the AR-15 when there is a risk of one of their own being behind a wall or doorway.
Bottom line is the AR-15 is the ideal weapon for home defense. Light, small, easy to wield by men and women alike. Easy to aim. Very lethal. Lower over-penetration risk than conventional home defense firearms.
