Climate Alarmist Barbra Streisand Flies Her Dogs 10,000 Miles for Performance
Newsbusters ^ | July 12, 2019 | P.J. Gladnick

How big of a carbon footprint does a dog flying 10,000 miles roundtrip leave? Well, multiply that three times and that is the carbon footprint (pawprint) left by the three dogs (two of them cloned) belonging to Barbra Streisand who deemed it essential that her three fluffy pooches had to be in attendance when she gave a song performance at London's Hyde Park on Sunday.

Yes, the singer who has been lecturing the world on climate change (formerly known as global warming), wasted emissions transporting her pets to watch her sing in London. One wonders if she paid carbon credit indulgences to Al Gore in order to ease her liberal conscience. If so, was the payment made in cash or dog biscuits?

Isn't cloning dogs harmful to them?

In the 1960s Elizabeth Taylor -——According to one biographer, “She loved not only beluga caviar and champagne but American fare like cheeseburgers, French fries, and of course, chili from Chasen’s.” Her obsession with Chasen’s chili knew no bounds, and she had it flown to her all over the world, most famously to her palatial Roman villa during the filming of Cleopatra.”

Maybe Streisand’s dogs prefer a certain type of food flown to them, too.

Like the NIMBY hypocrites in san fransicko concerning the homeless ..... whatever it is, babs is all about herself. Conserving the environment is important to everyone but her.

We had another thread at the height of the kommiefornia drought w/no watering allowed. Surveillance cameras showed babs was watering her lawn ....... profusely.

Sickening excuse of a human being. Ugly, too.

Chasens Famous Chili recipe
From the cookbook Chasen’s – Where Hollywood Dined,
by Betty Goodwin, published by Angel City Press, 1996.

Ingredients
1/2 pound dry pinto beans
Water
28-ounce can diced tomatoes in juice
large green bell pepper, chopped
2 tb vegetable oil
3 cups onions, coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
1/2 cup butter
2 pounds beef chuck, coarsely chopped*
pound pork shoulder, coarsely chopped*
1/3 cup Gebhardt’s chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons Farmer Brother’s ground cumin**

Instructions
Rinse the beans, picking out debris. Place beans in a Dutch oven with water to cover. Boil for two minutes. Remove from heat. Cover with lid and let stand one hour. After one hour, drain off liquid and discard.

Rinse beans again. Add just enough fresh water to cover the beans. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered, for one hour or until tender. Stir in tomatoes and their juice and let simmer five minutes.

In a large skillet, saute bell pepper in oil for five minutes. Add onion and cook until tender, stirring frequently. Stir in the garlic and parsley. Add mixture to bean mixture. Using the same skillet, melt the butter and saute beef and pork chuck until browned. Drain. Add to bean mixture along with the chili powder, salt, pepper and cumin.

Bring mixture just to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for one hour. Uncover and cook 30 minutes more or to desired consistency. Chili should not be too thick - it should be somewhat liquid but not runny like soup. Skim of excess fat and serve.

NOTE: You can freeze this chili for several months. When reheating refrigerated leftover or frozen chili, add a few tablespoons of water to regain proper consistency.

Recipe Notes
* Chasen’s used the best beef chuck, center cut, trimmed completely of fat. The restaurant used a special meat grinder, but for the home cook, meat chopped into one-quarter to one-half-inch chunks is much better than ground meat for this chili.

** Sometimes cumin seed is used in place of the ground cumin. It is a matter of personal preference.

*** Chasen made the chili himself, and always served the chili reheated.

I thought England had tough laws on bringing pets in, 6 month quarantine. I find this article hard to believe.

Exactly correct. I lived in England and then moved to the Middle East with my cat. WhenI returned to England my cat would have been in quarantine for months. Instead it went to the USA as this would have been cruel to the cat. That cat was a very expensive cat but a world traveler. She lived her life in England, Oman, and South Louisiana. She was worth the cost.
