President Trump on Friday weighed in on the side of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her public spat with four outspoken freshman congresswomen in her Democratic caucus. In a remarkable turnaround, he had nicer things to say about her than about Paul Ryan, the previous speaker a Republican who supported every part of Trumps agenda in Congress.
Earlier this week, Pelosi scolded the group that has been dubbed the squad Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts for going public with their criticisms of her.
I think Cortez is being very disrespectful to somebody thats been there a long time, Trump told reporters on the South Lawn before departing to Wisconsin for a fundraiser. I think that a group of people is being very disrespectful to her. And you know what, I dont think that Nancy can let that go on.
I deal with Nancy Pelosi a lot, and we go back and forth and its fine, the president said.
At various times, Trump has called Pelosi a nasty, vindictive and horrible person. As recently as last month, he described her as a disgrace to herself and her family.

He is undermining both Pelosi and the "squad", while most certainly keeping their feud alive and on the front pages.
Both sides now must escalate.
Paul Ryan was a terrible Speaker, he speaks the truth.
Ryan obstructed and intentionally threw the House to the Democrats.
The President is the leader of his party.
It is long time past since we started throwing GOP Senators out of 6 story windows.
At least everyone knows Pelosi was Trump’s opponent.
Paul Ryan is supposed to be on his team, not trying to stab him in the back.
Yahoo’s Dimwit Stabledump is calling the Trumpus on hypocrisy.
Awww ...
I wonder if Dummy Dump is part of the 12,000 ...
It’s Nancy’s divisive politics that have brought this disrespectful tone to Congress...
With the exception of tax decreases, Paul Ryano spent two years undermining most every part of Trump’s legislative agenda. Now it’s good that he reveals what a despicable, backstabbing POS he actually was and is.
Pathetic Yahoo “news” whines.
Hey Yahoo. Guess what. In this life it flows downhill, if you know what I mean.
” . . . Paul Ryan, the previous speaker a Republican who supported every part of Trumps agenda in Congress”
BS. Other than tax cuts, what results are there to show of ryans’s support of Trump’s agenda? In particular, where is the funding for the wall and any action on immigration reform?
Ryan could have got the wall included in that Omnibus bill, but didn’t. Makes no sense to me.
He also could have convinced enough congressmen to hang on for another term. He didn’t.
No Ryan, I’m sure, was not a Trump fan.
Its brilliant because Dems hate Trump so much. By giving Pelosi his very public seal of approval, he makes her an object of the Trump-haters hate. They were already mad that shes not impeaching him; now shes made to look like his ally

You’re somebody who gets the point of the post. Everybody else is reflexively focused on Ryan.
“a Republican who supported every part of Trumps agenda “
Exsqueeze me? When did Ryan get the votes for the wall funding? While I was asleep?
As Jim Acosta said: “Trump is Crazy—crazy like a fox.” Still playing Chess while Democrats play Checkers. Bush Jr. Played titlewinks, Obama played Stretego, Bill Clinton, Chutes and Ladders.
Awww
He thinks his readers won't notice that Trump isn't a Congressional freshperson. And he's probably right.
It makes perfect sense when you know that Ryan is a Bush League Republican fully committed to the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).
Nothing is more important than keeping the borders open and the laws unenforced.
They have no intention of letting US keep our country.
Ha, like all good Hussein Heads when called out, even here, Ryan will feel COMPELLED to respond.
It is all lost on the author of this piece, who is too busy trying to “fact check” and twist the story against Trump (e.g. Paul Ryan, who did not in fact support ‘every facet of Trump’s agenda’) to realize he’s trolling his opponents.
Never trust a politician facing many college tuitions.
