Tropical storm Barry has finally earned its name. The storm is drifting W in the central Gulf of Mexico. The tropical system is somewhat unusual because the low pressure system was originally over Georgia before drifting into the GOM.
The New Orleans area has been inundated with heavy rain with flooding over the past several days, unrelated to the current tropical storm.

Jim Cantore interviews a New Orleans native as she was walking by and asks her if churches were open during the storm. She replied, "I'm not sure, I pretty much only eat Popeyes." 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love my state. #BarryBeGone #LouisianaLife #HurricaneSeason

We follow the Pittsburgh weather pretty closely during baseball season as Pirates fans. Pittsburgh should be spared extreme weather over the next several days because the Pirates are on the road.

Barry will be the gift that keeps on giving with all of the slow moving weather trailing behind the center of circulation.

In the coastal parish of St Marys, 90% of residents are without power.
It may be some time (hours) before conditions settle down enough for work to repair power lines occur (maybe).
I live in the path of the eye, but really nothing out of the normal in terms of the weather so far.
I am in the North West quadrant. Not much rain so far.
God is proving how great His Mercy is today...

Hey hey NN how R U gal!
Up to your old things again I see! so glad your are still at it. No one better to chart these storms than you gal.
I've been checking out pedo Epstein the Mossad/CIA employee hired to blackmail the rich and famous for all the bad guys at intel centrals.
We live in a sick, sick world these days when its OK for intel agents to beat and rape kids from 8-15 years old without fear of any punishment.
Keep up the great work, looks like a real rainmaker here.

After all these years, last year I was embarrassed to learn that NautiNurse was a guy not a gal.
Welcome to the club.I used to think FR was better at verifying fake news. This is the first I've heard that I am a guy, rather than a gal. I can think of quite a few others, including my mother and GYN doctor, will be quite surprised to learn this news too. Gender fluidity is not on my list of accomplishments.

Hi Guy! Great that you have checked in for the season! All is well in the Tampa Bay area. How's life down in the Keys?
Epstein and his ilk are truly sick bastards.

So far this has been a big nothing here in Sulphur, LA. No wind and no rain to speak of. If the wind has hit 15 mph I would be surprised.

Sulphur is to far west of the center to get much of an impact.
What’s a TN native doing in SW La.

Thanks for your local update! The convection is definitely to the E of the storm. It seems you are very fortunate for this event.
