I just sent back to the IRS a form they sent me to fill out because I did not answer the question on my 1040 form as to whether or not we had health insurance in 2018.
I told them no, this time.
They say I MUST pay ‘my fair share’, $2085, but cannot collect it unless I have a refund due me, which I haven’t had in years.................
If what you’re saying is true, then it’s likely that the reduction of the penalty to $0 wasn’t scheduled to take effect until the 2019 tax year.
