The European Union (EU) tried to prevent the continued trend of member states opening representative offices in Jerusalem but the initiative failed, Kan 11 News reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the EU did not like the decision of some European countries to open economic offices in Jerusalem and senior officials tried to lead to the drafting of an official document that would obligate all EU member states and determine, “Until a final agreement on Jerusalem is reached, the EU and its member states will continue to respect the international agreement on the location of the diplomatic missions.”

Israel understood that such a decision would eliminate the chances of continuing to pressure European countries to relocate their embassies or open a diplomatic representation in the capital.

However, consent of all the EU member states was needed in order to publish the document, and the Czech Republic and Hungary, member states which are considered close friends of Israel, were required to agree to the document and thwarted it. …

My desire to use a vulgarity has been suppressed.

I think a fitting vulgarity in itself would be simply “EU’’.

The EU never misses an opportunity to remind the world how much they hate Israel.

The E. U. and the U. N. seem to play off the same playbook.

They are off base on nearly every topic.

If I lived in the E. U., I’d be angry as could be, because my votes for national leaders whouldn’t mean squat. These organizations dictate to nations what they will do, and the average person gets no say.

Now that being said, isn’t that exactly how the Republicans and the Democrats treat us? We do get to elect them, but that’s the last input we seem to have.

The Calling of Abram
I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

Great point.

Didn’t some of our ancestors throw some tea in a harbor for having no representation?

Of course they are opposed to it. I believe Daniel's Fourth Beast shall arise out of Europe (along with the Man of Sin, the Antichrist - the "little horn" that arises). But there will be other world powers involved, too (IMHO).

Daniel 7:7-8 King James Version (KJV)

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Correct - Just like the United Nations

It’s amazing Resolution 181 ever passed - had to be Divine Intervention

[“Until a final agreement on Jerusalem is reached”]

Oh the Antichrist will do that.

But it will not be the FINAL status. The Lord Jesus Christ will have His say. And His is the one say that will last forever.

The anti-messiah will get 7 years, though, before that day.

No you wouldn’t. If you were native to Europe you would welcome the EU and support it.

Europe has historically been ruled by monarchs. One sovereign responsible for the masses. This subjugation has been bred into them. They can not under stand the concept of every man is sovereign as bred into us in USofA.

I wonder if this is in response to the recent Greek election. A few months ago I read an article in Gatestone where the leader of the Greek conservatives said he’d move the embassy to Jerusalem if he became Prime Minister. I think they’re worried that if this happens there will be a series of others following suit.

Now....Merkel said to the EU countries....About your sovereignty....we own a good piece of you. Hitler did it his way....we’re doing it our way.

If I was in charge of Israel, I would be sorely tempted to make the following statement: “Nations, which refuse to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital shall be deemed as having stated that they do not want (or need) diplomatic recognition within this country. In the latter case, such nations shall no longer be considered as allies in any way, shape or form.”
