The question that the article didn’t look into is if anyone that Epstein was around had a history of working for the intelligence services. The answer is apparently yes, so Acosta claim that he was told to back off makes sense. Clearly, someone working for the US government, having US government officials visiting, gave credibility for foreign officials. This could well be an ‘intelligence operation’. My problem is that it involved US citizens, and sometimes on US soil, which is illegal for particular agency.
Perhaps the question shouldn’t be if some individuals aren’t abused by the intelligence apparatus of the United States, but ‘how many intelligence assets are politically involved in government and policy?’

My conspiracy theory:
A foreign government, friendly to the USA, used Epstein and his house and his island as a honeypot to bring powerful perverts and film/video them for blackmail. This is similar to what was alleged to be behind Hugh Hefner and the Playboy mansions, but the funding source/controller was our CIA and the targets were members of the media (remnants of Operation Mockingbird).
The Left probably feels if Epstein had been sentenced to life in federal prison, none of the D elite (”Our Faves”) would have been ensnared past his incarceration date.
That is why they are so angry at Secretary of Labor and former Federal Prosecutor Acosta.

So Trump is guilty of something because he knew Epstein was up to no good? In fact, NYC is often a small town when it comes to gossip. Since when is gossip a crime?

There is another thread here (that I can’t seem to find) that lays out how Epstein “fell in with a bunch of Jewish Billionaires in NYC” (the Bronfmans were #1 on the list and the article named a bunch of them) and they are the genesis of all of his money. He got them all laid, and in return, they put their money with him to “invest.” More than likely, they were just bribes to buy his silence about their sexual activities with under age girls.
So if this is true, all of them need to be exposed for the sleazebags that they are ( and their pictures in bed with young girls published), and Epstein needs to go away for the rest of his life, with his fortune going to all of the young women he abused.
He should be brought in under oath and asked. And be asked who told him that.

I would think the blackmail material was kept quiet for an hour of need, possibly by just by Epstein, possibly by an agency he worked with/for.
If Acosta had been warned off, well, if I were him, I’d have made a contemporaneous memo of that and named those who gave him that warning. I do think it is likely to have happened that way myself, but it sure would be helpful if he could provide some documentation of it.
