Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., signed a bill into law on Tuesday making young illegal immigrants eligible for the Medicaid program in California, making it the first state to offer such taxpayer-funded health benefits to low-income adults age 25 and younger regardless of their immigration status.
State officials said they expected the plan to cover about 90,000 people and cost taxpayers $98 million. California already covered children 18 and younger regardless of immigration status.
The law will not give health insurance benefits to everyone 25 and younger, but only those whose income is low enough to qualify.

the cost of all the illegals is one thing, but it is unconscionable that we let them out of jail to kill US citizens the very people public offices take an oath to protect.
Why some judge hasn’t ruled officials are culpable in these deaths its beyond me.
The ‘Mexico’ label was fair to use in the 1990s, but I think in the past twenty years....a large segment of the incoming crowd are from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Belize.
You can also note in recent weeks that African migrants have been noted crossing the border. Rumors suggest that freighters are carrying across the Atlantic for a price, and a smuggler route is being developed. Wouldn’t surprise me in a year to see 3,000 Africans a month crossing the border using this route.
Appalling. Next will be New York, then the rest of the blue states... including here in The People’s Republik of Connecticut.
And to think of the wait times and substandard treatment so many of our veterans have to put up with...

And it’s insane on it’s face, since out of 40 million residents, 150,000 people here are paying 40% of all income taxes.
Just heard someone say to a talk show host, that he was moving from Vacaville, CA to Boise, ID. A one-way van was more than $3,000. to Idaho. However, a one-way van of the same size was a tenth the cost going the other direction. So the guy flew to Boise, rented the van, did a round trip and even with the excess mileage charges and plane fare, he saved $2,000.
When the state runs out of money the federal government will pay the bill.

Exactly. Communism is in our future unless we can vote out the Leftists. The Democrats have been infiltrated by communists for 80 - 100 years, which is why they are fighting Trump so hard. He wants to keep America free and they want a communist utopia.

Medicaid comes from Federal dollars. By handing over cash to ineligible people, they open themselves up to charges of embezzling federal funds.

That’s $1,000 per person. I seriously doubt $98 million is an accurate number. I’m thinking more like $9.8 billion.
