I lived in Bellevue / Issaquah from 96-2015 its night and day compared to Seattle. Go across lake Washington and your in a very cool city. Seattle is a cesspool

"… many thousands of square feet of downtown real estate, and that company moves out, …"

Empty building? Hey, why not high-rise housing for the "homeless"? Pack that baby to the roof! Always room for more; help solve L.A.'s homeless problem too! Come on up!

Yeah - I don’t think the move from Seattle to Bellevue is going to do much with office rental rates. Other than to raise them in Bellevue and Redmond, and turn those two cities even farther left due to the incoming demographics. The idiot workers leaving Seattle won’t see the connection on WHY the company left.

Bellevue needs more bike lanes - raise the taxes.
Bellevue needs more mass transit - raise the taxes.
Bellevue needs more homeless shelters - raise the taxes.
Bellevue needs designated heroin places - raise the taxes.

My impression is that the parasites need a bigger area to beg in. Though if they are concentrated in one area, all the libtard idiots can go there and hug them.

Seattle is already past the point of no return.

Seattle is becoming the new Detroit.

If people say it can’t happen, they need to look at Detroit and most urban sh*tholes and what they once were. Liberalism can rot a city within a very short amount of time.

These cities ratchet up their cost of living off the back of a handful of major companies. When the companies move, you can’t support the support workforce. It’s exactly what happened in Detroit. Suddenly that barista earning $15 an hour sees the coffee orders dry up. The landlords see their service industry tenants struggle to pay bills. The market can’t adjust quick enough because they put artificial floors in place with rent control, minimum wage, and other social programs.

So rather than the economy adjusting downwards, it simply crashes

Are there many blacks in Seattle?

They judge their homeless sidewalk panhandlers by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Never counted them for that reason.

It will be Amazon’s tallest building anywhere in the world, and it will be the tallest building in Bellevue, which has more than a few skyscrapers.

On pay per view: Barnes & Noble in a last ditch effort to try to stay alive, hires King Kong to scale the Amazon building. Amazon drones circle and fire again and again as Kong gently sets Ainsley Earhardt down safely on a window ledge, not ducking as a deadly laser blast kills him and he drops onto a homeless camp below. No one killed but Kong as the homeless were having welfare debit card meals at a fancy restaurant.

Ainsley had refused to allow a book promotion interview to the B & N handlers but then was sympathetic to Kong as she saw he was a gentle, misguided pawn of big business.

Not the drones but brick and mortar dying out killed the beast.

Makes sense.

The city I love to hate. Total boycott since about 1975. I was born in a hospital there but shortly went home to live in a proper suburb outside of the city.

About Detroit: like the expression: Don’t go there.

No, it won't. There is only one Detroit (thank goodness).
