House Judiciary Committee Democrats announced Tuesday that they plan to authorize subpoenas later this week for a dozen individuals connected to President Trump as part of the panels escalating probe into obstruction of justice, public corruption and other alleged abuses by the president.
The list of targets includes Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner as well as former Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his old deputy Rod Rosenstein.
Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said Tuesday that the panel is moving forward with efforts to request information from critical witnesses as part of our ongoing investigation into obstruction, corruption, and abuse of power by the President and his associates.
The committee plans to mark up the resolution authorizing the subpoenas on Thursday, an effort that comes ahead of high-profile hearings next week featuring former Special Counsel Robert Mueller himself.
The latest burst of planned subpoenas prompted criticism from the committee's top Republican, Georgia Rep. Doug Collins.
Todays latest effort to relitigate the special counsels investigation remains unimpressive and unproductive. Mr. Muellers team issued more than 2,800 subpoenas before concluding that no Americans conspired with Russia. Even if Chairman Nadler still believes subpoenas are conversation starters, its hard to imagine this handful of subpoenas will do anything but reinforce the principal conclusions weve been able to read about for months, Collins said in a statement.
The individuals subject to fresh subpoena are: Sessions; Rosenstein; Kushner; former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn; former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Rick Dearborn; former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly; former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski; former White House aide Rob Porter; publisher of the National Enquirer David Pecker and chief content officer Dylan Howard; former Stormy Daniels lawyer Keith Davidson; and assistant attorney general for the criminal division Joseph Jody Hunt.

YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey at least the dems are doing nothing else? Sad for our president but not so bad on the other hand.
I hope that Nadler seizes up and keels over.
True, and we know the Rats pathetic efforts won’t go anywhere on this.
Democrats are long past actually having evidence or even the hint of a crime as cause to issue a subpoena. Their end goal is to gain power and never give it up because ultimately these tactics could be used against them. Once they have power, expect it to implictly become illegal to vote Republican. They are in full slash and burn mode at his point and aren’t even trying to hide it.

More nonsense, dont cooperate, take the fifth and also dont show up
That should be the responses
There is no doubt that these democrat, criminally complicit Congressional traitors seeking Trumps head need to receive a stern message to stop abusing their authority for political revenge. This ought to be considered a crime against the people and ought to be dealt with accordingly, what ever that is and by whom. Knowing that almost nothing in DC changes until it’s forced to change.
I loathe liberals.
And many wrote on this site that it does not matter if the dems win the House since both parties are the same. But, yes, it does matter.
This is the democrat strategy to counter what is coming for them in terms of exposure and justice. For instance... The damage coming to them from the Epstein saga has barely begun. And Delcass on their spying scheme is coming soon.
They are desperately trying to head it all off by attempting to take out Trump.
It could be a distraction campaign to cover-up other news.
Trump should sue the Democrat Party for political harassment.
A valid point, it’s definitely political harassment at this stage.
Panic in DC!
....He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance...
The 'Rats make George III and his parliament look like pikers.
I agree, well said.
Oh it’s nothing they see it every time they look onto the mirror obstruction of justice, public corruption and other alleged abuses......................................................
Ever notice how Nadler looks like Batman nemesis “the Penguin”?
