Home Depot shoppers have been threatening to boycott the store after its co-founder, Bernie Marcus, revealed in a recent interview that he’d be donating to President Trump’s re-election bid.

“Never shopping @HomeDepot again,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Cutting up my card,” another said.

These boycotts literally never work and I am sick of hearing about them, on both sides, and the lazy media writing articles full of tweets as though I can't go to Twitter directly if I wanted to read some literally who's declaration of how they're "never shopping there again."

The Right's boycotts of Nike, Starbucks, the Red Hen, etc. aren't going anywhere. The Left's boycotts of Chick-fil-A, FedEx, Home Depot... likewise. Chick-fil-A has only grown into the third-largest fast food chain in the U.S. since the Left started their big boycott of it years and years ago.

Of Home Depot, Menard’s and Lowe’s I like Home Depot best. Used to have an Ace Hardware about a half mile away but that closed down. I shopped there a lot. I buy most of my hardware on line these days.

I’ve seen the Home Depot guy on TV a couple times. He seemed like a decent guy.

they used to work- just ask Ford and J.C Penny how well they used to work when both those companies suffered great losses due to their support and promotion of the gay agenda- J.C Penny never recovered-

They could have IF the tea party had not fallen apart and was organized enough to call for people all across the country to boycott- the problem is it’s not organized enough- it could be a powerful force if it were- the left wouldn’t be pushing their immoral anti-American crap so much

Yep sometimes boycotts backfire- especially when the left do them because they generally boycott really decent people or businesses, and conservatives rally to the businesses or people’s defense as a result- The left tried the same with Hobby Lobby, but failed there too because they were boycotting a really decent group of folks-

I just wish the right wouldn’t cave so much- ride it out if financially possible, and goodness will prevail usually- The left is boycotting Georgia for it’s heartbeat bill by not doing movies there anymore- big deal- Clint Eastwood is specifically going to Georgia to do his next movie as a result- Georgia will survive just fine without hollywierd’s support-

This is left wing ignorance and knee-jerk on so many levels. Although Bernie Marcus was one of the founders of The Home Depot, and no doubt continues to be a major shareholder, he is no longer involved in policymaking or the day-to-day operations of the company's 2,150 stores.

The corporation's policies actually are almost embarrassingly left of center, since it has been publicly supporting LGBTQ "initiatives" and is a standard-bearer for "diversity" in the workplace.

It has also been a vocal supporter of and contributor to Jimmy Carter's "Habitat for Humanity" program. And it needs to be said that in all probability most of the items antifa has used in its vicious and violent attacks upon conservative demonstrators (crowbars, muriatic acid, etc.) have most likely been purchased at one of its stores. Just statistically speaking.

After all, it's called "Home Depot" not Homo Depot.
