Back before we transformed into Bizarro World, most people always felt safer at a place when cops were there. You just figure the bad guys would be less likely to show up, and other people would be on their best behavior. I still feel that way. Maybe this person had a reason to fear them.
That is one scary video.
“Not good enough. The ceo must go on national TV and whine and apologize for 1 hour. They must close the stores for 1 day while they retrain employees. They must fire the barista. Plus free coffee for cops.”
Plus, perhaps it’s time for their baristas to seriously discuss with customers why cops are GOOD for society.
And the employee is still an employee? I would still sue for discrimination, apology matters not a wit and is a cover for their real feelings. Fight back Cops!!
Police should boycott the answering of any em calls at any Starbucks.
Furthermore, am I allowed to go up to the Barista and have him/her eject anyone I point out as “making me nervous’?
Starbucks apology is meaningless. This is the climate they have fostered in their stores and among their employees. As someone else has said, let’s see if Starbucks takes a day for sensitivity training on how to treat cops.
Too little too late ... plenty of other places I can spend my money for coffee
Yes, and a “boycott” won’t help because it appears that nobody here drinks Starbucks anyway (I do) and in any case people never really do these boycott things.
I went on to their Twitter feed and thanked them for apologizing but asked them if this barista would get the same treatment as the one carrying out company policy by denying the restroom to people who didn’t make purchases when she told some black activists that they couldn’t get the restroom code unless they had made a purchase. This is of course for the safety of the customers and the employees.
They dumped her and opened the bathrooms so now the employees are having to clean up needles and excrement (the junkies don’t bother with the toilets). But I wonder what would happen if a cop wanted to use that bathroom...
I’m assuming you meant to reply to this post.

Yes, indeed. He’s “in your face” about it. Whatever it is, he’s “in your face” and it’s just totally weird.
One FReeper once noted he has a penchant for Biblical imagery.
Well, then there’s this:

Somebody said something about August 4, 1961 being the 216th day of the year. I can’t remember what that is except right off the (30 * 6) + 6 * 6 = 216. They were making some point like that.
Oh - DUH
216 = 6 * 6 * 6
That was the point. Just realized it again.
Could be. Does Starbucks have video inside their locations?
They must have had some serious repercussions to do that.
I hope they sink in their own swill.
I’ll bet next time LE gets a call from Starbucks, they’ll take their time.
Same view for me
My daughter had suggested I try a Columbian restaurant for lunch in Louisville, but said to just be aware that the area could be a little iffy on occasion.
Well, there were 3 cop cars there, all having lunch at the same time when I got there. I don't think the area was too iffy for that while. I certainly wasn't "triggered". I was also carrying, so I figured the place was pretty darn secure at that moment. LOL
Yeah, what was the employee going to do if they refused, call the police?
#boycottstarbucks
That says it all. Overpriced leftist swill. Cops should only be there to make arrests.
If Trump supporters wore a uniform they would throw us out too... Liberals are haters.
