President Trump took aim at the Federal Reserve on Saturday, labeling it the “most difficult problem” the U.S. faces and again criticizing the independent central bank for raising interest rates.

“Strong jobs report, low inflation, and other countries around the world doing anything possible to take advantage of the United States, knowing that our Federal Reserve doesn’t have a clue!” Trump tweeted late Friday night. “They raised rates too soon, too often, & tightened, while others did just the opposite.”

“As well as we are doing from the day after the great Election, when the Market shot right up, it could have been even better - massive additional wealth would have been created, & used very well,” he continued. “Our most difficult problem is not our competitors, it is the Federal Reserve!”

“Level Playing Field”

Why on earth would you want a level playing field when the dollar is the world's reserve currency?

The field is so tilted in our favor that we risk sliding off.

Well, at least he’s ID’g one of our greatest economic problems caused by the federal government.

It is pretty well documented that the FED caused the Great Depression even though your Leftist educators (”indoctrinators”?) won’t teach that. The stock market crash was a hiccup ready to rebound, but what the FED did was turn what would have been a relatively short-term downturn into a full-blown depression.

The history of the FED, like most of the federal government, is it has done way more harm than good.

Some guy on Fox business described the Fed well the other day....They don’t want to lower rates now because they want to have the extra to fight off inflation/recession if need be....but they have had their finger in causing every bout of inflation/recession that occurred since they were founded...so they want to have something in their arsenal to protect us from the mistakes they keep making...
