Wrong. Haig never said any such thing.

You’re right, my mistake. I had the opportunity to engage with Al Haig via video conference back in the late 90s when he was hosting the “World Business Review” program, and was hoping for the opportunity to slip in an off-topic question during a break, but didn’t have the chance. I wanted to ask him if in retrospect he felt that he’d overstepped or if he thought it was worth the “PR gaffe” in order to project a sense of calmness and stability.
