Hope it wasn’t a Ken Caminiti situation.

Angels are said to be cursed.

Obviously curses aren’t real. But it makes one almost believe.

I immediately thought about Donnie Moore but then somebody reminded me about Nick Adenhart who died in a car crash that was not his fault.

Ah, I’m drunk half the time so what do I know? :)

................................................

If someone asks me a question about the 60s,I have to tell them, I don’t know, I was drunk that decade.

To this day, one of the deaths that probably devastated me the most was Pistol Pete, at 40:

On January 5, 1988, Maravich collapsed and died of heart failure at age 40, while playing in a pickup basketball game in the gym at First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, California, with a group that included evangelical author James Dobson. Maravich had flown out from his home in Louisiana to tape a segment for Dobson’s radio show that aired later that day. Dobson has said that Maravich’s last words, less than a minute before he died, were “I feel great. I just feel great.” An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a rare congenital defect; he had been born with a missing left coronary artery, a vessel that supplies blood to the muscle fibers of the heart. His right coronary artery was grossly enlarged and had been compensating for the defect.

It was actually a miracle he even made it to 40.

so far I have not frequently seen slanted pages from them

wikipedia is very good on anything that is not political. On topics political, don't use it due to extreme anti-conservative bias.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_baseball_players_who_died_during_their_careers

List of players that died and how.

I was just looking at this page yesterday.

On Tuesday June 18th 2002 Darryl Kile won his last game in a 7-2 win over the Angels. This put the Cards into 1st for the rest of the season. Jack Buck died that night.

On Saturday the 22nd Kile died.

The Angels were in town this year on June 21st-23rd. The 22nd was again on a Saturday.

Albert Pujols was a Cardinal on that 2002 team and is of course now an Angel.

Both the Cardinals and Angels have lost a few active players recently.

And going back 41 years ago there was Angle Lyman Bostock. Shot dead after an Angels road game in Shitcago. He drove to his hometown of Gary Indiana after the game only to be killed by a psycho. in a drive by. The guy had Hall of Fame game cut short after four years.
