You are exactly right. They are locusts destroying what were once good places to live. Eventually, we will all have to live in “the sticks” to have real freedom.
“When a lot of Californians move to another state they bring more than their furniture. My brother lives in Prescott Arizona and they have moved there in droves. They crowd out the natives and turn anyplace into a liberal paradise which is a nightmare for the rest of the people.”
I live in the area and it is true that Californians have moved in the area in the past few years. But it is very conservative. There are 3000 more Republicans while the increase in Democrats have been in the hundreds. And pro-Trump mayors have been elected in Prescott and Prescott Valley in the past year.
“I live in an area that is still conservative albeit sparsely populated. One thing about California, you cant beat the weather. Ive lived all around th U.S. and everywhere has its beauty but the hardest thing to deal with is the humidity its rare here.”
“Conservative ... sparsely populated”: Same here, near Knoxville. We’d like to keep it that way. :)
I, too, have lived in many places in the U.S., and it’s true that the beauty is wonderful just about everywhere, in different ways. I’d have a hard time choosing the best. Hubby complains about the humidity here in TN, but he’s never lived in FL. I’ve lived in FL w/horrid humidity, in AK w/zero humidity, and in HI with medium humidity. It was average in CA.
I wonder if Kali politicians even see the massive implosion that is coming to that state. Probably not, they are too vain to see.
“...many of these new people in TN are liberal scum. Nashville is getting worse each year.”
We met a couple at our HOA meeting last week. They had just moved from Nashville to the Knoxville area because of (1) “liberal scum” and (2) congestion.
We have friends in Prescott and were thinking of moving there at some point.
That changed after witnessing the Leftist tilt of AZ. It is comparable to CA twenty years ago. Same as happened in CO.
We Deplorable types are living a Nomadic existence trying to outrun the Cancer of Liberalism, moving from one State to another. When the Purple Plague hits, we start making plans.
It’s like Kamala’s forced Busing, but we have to buy our own Bus.
Seems so many people are moving from CA this summer that rents are up 20% from when she first got her relocation notice 2 months ago. But it's still so much cheaper over there, so she's more than willing to move. Her company only relocated about 25% of its employees and she's thrilled to get out of CA at someone else's expense.
Dont you realize that this is happening in EVERY community in the country?
There used to be local “flavor.” With the advent of the internet and the dismal education of the Millennials the country is becoming homogenized—and that is not good.
If you have been hard working, smart, and thrifty—you are now the enemy. If you have a house with a nice lawn and a pool in the back yard, somehow you have too much and deserve to give up your wealth to the masses.
You will not find any place in America where the world you thought you wanted to live in, still exists.
We just left CA. Lived in an upscale Community in S. Orange County which was considered the last Conservative bastion on the Coast.
That is where the GOP Reps were swept out of Office in 2018 thanks to the Illegals and Vote Harvesting.
Local large Apartment Complexes are teeming with Illegals and everyone is grumbling about the increased Crime. Drive by the Schools and you see their Children being Educated with your Tax Dollars.
I’m sitting at a stoplight and those same Children (and their White well to do Suburban Classmates) are glaring at me because they apparently didn’t care for the TRUMP 45 Vanity License Plates on my Car.
Liberalism is Cancer and it affects every nook and cranny it touches so your observation is 100% spot on.
I have met a few in Crossville, TN who did the same thing. Politically speaking, Knoxville is definitely better than Nashville.
Every once in a while I go back to the deep rural areas of New England. These folks are traditional libertarians. But they work hard. They dont care about anyone elses politics. And they say good morning or wave when you see them.
It aint Texas...but its the closest you can get in Mass. I have to drive further and further to get to an area that feels like it did when I was a kid.
