I think they’d have to cross a bigger threshold than just they got beat on and the police were nowhere around, though. Have to have a cop acting like that fat swine in Dearbourn, watching the victim get abused and ordering him to move on or get fined or arrested. But Anti-fa itself has some sort of organizational basis. There are chapters, chapter heads, regional heads, a national leader of some sort. People didn’t just wake up one day with the same idea, MO, and taste in body armor. If there’s an organization, they have finances, and if they have finances, they can get sued.
Maybe the DOJ can go after them under RICO and as a terror organization. They’ve done that with the KKK and the Mafia, and numerous drug organizations.

I think a lot of their funding is ‘dark’ money and it originates offshore.
Then it’s time for the FBI and the CIA to do what they were hired for. Investigate, prosecute under federal law, and confiscate assets, however they were obtained.
So many good officers risk their lives or lose them against the various scum. God bless them.
Thus, the ones who work in liberal cities and are overseen by liberal chiefs and mayors are a disgrace to all the many good officers. They meekly permit the travesty of justice of "standing down" when they see attacks on conservatives and Trump supporters. They quietly watch injustice being done.
The courage to stand up and say "I have sworn to uphold the law and I am going to do that" escapes them. All of us have felt cowardly when a teacher or later a boss demands something we would never have chosen to do. We feel guilty later. The police are in a higher zone of responsibility than we are (they sought the job).
The future is dark unless the law enforcement officers fight alongside the conservatives on the good side. We cannot abandon the rule of law, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the sacrifices made by others for us since 1776.
