Democrats in the House and Senate are at odds with one another over the passage of a $4.5 billion emergency border funding bill backed by Senate Republicans, a Friday report from The Washington Post revealed.
The fact that Senate Democrats went along with the bill kneecapped the House and marked the most embarrassing defeat for Pelosi in the six months since Democrats took over the chamber, the report read.
Schumer destroyed all our leverage on Wednesday by not being able to hold his people, a senior House Democratic aide told the Post. Meanwhile, an anonymous aide on the Senate side said, Theyre blaming everyone but themselves.

The Democrats can throw all the recriminations they want, this isn’t President Trumps main objective, and the deportations will begin soon after the 4th of July according to what he said in his press conference.

“the deportations will begin soon after the 4th of July according to what he said in his press conference.”
If existing laws were followed, and if the welfare spigot was turned off they would leave on their own. Of course, to that logic, if a frog had wings...

Bah.
The bill is what the Dem donors wanted: doesn’t help the wall. Pays for the care of the donors’ prospective workforce to keep US wages down.
The media is trying to make it look like something else.
Trump got little, but he did get ‘some’.

If existing laws were followedObama judges allow laws to do only what they want them to do, and if Trump ignores them GOP senators are ready to remove him from office. But when a Dem POTUS wins an election he can get away with anything.

IF,IF,IF.
If Trump had support from the dimwits in his own party this wouldn't be a problem.
If?, if?, if? doesn't make you some kind of brilliant thinker.

Schmucky knows what he’s doing.
He has longer range goals.
He works with the Bush League Republicans on more money to accommodate the new arrivals to get amnesty later.
Flimsey Grahamnesty and Micro Rubio and the rest of the Bush League Republicans want amnesty as much as Nancy does.

It’s not a real defeat for the dems, but it’s embarrassing for Pelosi because she wasn’t going to budge. Gillibrand did not vote.

Since there were no loopholes closed, Trump can start deportations and still keep his word.

That’s ridiculous. Since the primary system emerged for selecting party nominees, every congressman and senator is a one man band. Strict party discipline only exists in parliamentary systems where party leaders can remove candidates from the ballot.

This article is about a border funding bill and party leaders, not about the party's nominee for potus. Schumer and Pelosi are not running for that office.

Dems eating each other alive was inevitable.
President Trump just had to set it up and let the White House chef pop the popcorn.

I’m pointing out that neither Schumer nor Pelosi has *any* control over Democratic Reps or Senators. They raise their own money and run in their own primaries for House or Senate seats. We railed at Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, but they have very little leverage over the GOP caucus. Justin Amash could still win his primary. But in Europe, he would have been struck off the next ballot. No prospect of going against the party unless he wanted to leave politics or run as an independent. In Europe, AOC would never have made it onto the ballot - no primaries there. Party leaders decide who gets to run.

If true (remember, this is the Washington comPost) it merely reveals Demon Rats as hacks interested in gamesmanship—not in good governance.
To: Freee-dame
Exactly. They are propagandizing this as a loss and embarrassment when it was really a win. No money for the wall, all leftist policies in place and fully funded. We are owned.
