Strange days indeed.
Wednesday, more than 100 Wayfair employees walked out of their Back Bay offices to protest their employers sale of furniture to a government contractor supplying detention camps for migrant children on the southern border.
Again, they were motivated to walk out because their employer was providing comfort to families on the border, which wouldnt seem like such a bad thing. Unfortunately, this particular progressive protest narrative crossed paths with a similar but different narrative from a a few days ago, namely that border facilities are concentration camps.
As a result, since their narrative algorithm is purely binary, one cannot do business with the evil overseers of concentration camps, even if the result is aid and comfort for little children.

Politicians and other thought leaders need to use their influence to turn down the heat and separate fantasy from reality.
The Wayfair employees are going to build and donate free bunk-beds to help the refugees. /NOT
I have never used this company but I was thinking about it for use in the future - Now, nope, never ever will I use this company. What a bunch of jerk employees, good way to make orders decline by half and lose their job eventually.
Their logic is all twisted up.
Some people will join a walk out just to get out of working.
Same as when schoolkids don’t need a reason to ‘walk out’ of school. They can be lazy whilst they ‘protest’.
Two mints in one!
Even the Boston Herald gets it. Wayfair employees would rather see kids sleep on a concrete floor than be provided wsith a bed.
Well, as is typical for liberals they’ll shoot themselves in the foot. When the orders for beds stop coming in and they lose contracts the boss will come and say”” Business is down. I’m going to have to let some of you go’’.
This stuff, and the corrupt elected representatives who are helping it along, is all right out of the National Socialist Party playbook in the late twenties and early thirties.
And I guarantee that a lot of these people are already fantasizing about their own concentration camps and some genocide of their own.
Fire their asses, then prep to move to a Red State
Let’s see what the company does.
Fire the walk-outers.
Continue to sell to the government then fine.
Otherwise drop them.
Yes but the owners stood up to the employees. Dont stop buying from Wayfair, it was a tough, gutsy move to Stan up to that kind of pressure
Maybe the Government should purchase from another vendor. In doing so, the Wayfair workers won’t have to be involved. In fact, they’ll probably be sitting at home looking for work because the last time I checked - customers fund the paychecks. Don’t drive your customers to your competitors.
They stood up to their employees. They really need to be in a red state, their employees are jerks
These protestors want kids living in ‘concentration camp’ conditions.
Mattress Mack of Houston opened and made his furniture stores available to flood victims. Give him the business if he wants it.
The Democrat Party is the Party of HATE and EVIL.
They object of the HATE and the manifestations that their HATE takes vary, but HATE is the foundation of the Democrat Party.
