Say what you want about Jake Tapper, but he just did something that most of his co-workers are unwilling or unable to do. He asked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a relatively tough question.
The topic was concentration camps, like the ones AOC claims the U.S. has set up along the border with Mexico:

Tapper: You retweeted a story from Esquire magazine discussing all this, talking about the academic definition [of "concentration camp"] versus the definition that most people think of, the colloquial definition that doesn't mean the concentration camp or just a concentration of individuals, but a Nazi death camp. But one of the points that was made in that very story was that, using that definition, there were also concentration camps under Obama and under Bill Clinton. That is in the story that you retweeted. So, did you call them concentration camps at the time, when Obama was president?
AOC: Well, at the time I was working in a restaurant. But I absolutely was outspoken against Obama's immigration policies and the detention of families then. I think it's a remarkably consistent position, and I'm not here to defend wrong actions just because they happened under a Democratic administration. I'm here to speak truth to power, and if it's wrong, it's wrong. And I frankly don't care what president does it.
NOTE: People who work in restaurants are allowed to have political opinions, particularly if they aspire to national politics. And especially if the topic is immigration!
But other than that, you know what? That's... that's actually a good answer. Even if you disagree with her that those places are concentration camps, for once you can't accuse her of partisanship. According to her, Obama ran concentration camps too.
Now I'm just waiting to see how the libs react to this. It's a bit of a puzzler, innit?
If you're always sneering that "Obama's biggest scandal was wearing a tan suit," what do you think of your new standard-bearer accusing the Lightworker, The One, of running literal concentration camps? That's pretty big, don't you think? How do you explain why you didn't panic, the way you're panicking now, when the Obama administration enforced the same policies in the same way? If Trump is a Nazi, why wasn't Obama?
In sum: How do you justify your utter hypocrisy?

I have often wondered why, a presumeably intelligent hardworking college graduate such as her, with a degree in international relations and economics from Boston University, had a job as a bartender.
Why was she not on any career path which used her college education? Especially considering that she could have used affirmative action to her advantage in getting into a job or career, why did she apparently decide not to do so?

Will Democrats try to “primary” her in 2020?
She could be in political trouble in 2022. If current trends hold, due to the census, New York could lose 1 or 2 seats in Congress. The powers that be, in redistricting, could eliminate her congressional district, which could force her to run against another Democrat in a neighboring district in the 2022 primaries, if she wanted to stay in Congress.
The New York legislature is controlled by Democrats, so it would be her own fellow Democrats who could redistrict her out of her current seat in Congress.
