CNN: Winners and losers from night 2 of the 1st Democratic debate (Fake news take on Rat clown show)
CNN ^ | June 27, 2019 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 06/27/2019 11:10:15 PM PDT by Zakeet

I watched all two hours, tweeted and took some notes. My thoughts on the best -- and the worst -- of the night that was is below.

WINNERS

*Kamala Harris: The California Senator gave the strongest performance not just of Thursday night's debate but of either nights' debate. She was calm, poised, knowledgeable and, yes, presidential.

* Pete Buttigieg: If you knew nothing about Buttigieg going into Thursday night, you would have assumed from his performance that a) he was a senator or a governor who had been at this for a long time and b) a co-frontrunner with Harris in the race. That person would be stunned to learn that Buttigieg is currently the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and running at the back of the lead pack. He was serious, smart, thoughtful and probing.

LOSERS

*Joe Biden: Well, that went poorly. From the get-go, Biden seemed too rigidly attached to his stump speech and his talking points. He struggled to fit his points into the 60-second time limit. ... When Biden was asked what his first act as president would be, he said it would be to defeat Donald Trump.

* Bernie Sanders: The Vermont senator learned a tough lesson Thursday night: Debating nine people as one of the frontrunners for the nomination is a very different beast than debating a single, establishment frontrunner when you are the freewheeling insurgent. Rather than passionate, Sanders came off as just plain loud. Rather than committed, he came across as repetitive.

They NEVER actually deliver but ALWAYS have their voters nonetheless.

Something profound needs saying here, and yet, I’m speechless.

I don’t get a “leader” vibe from Biden. He’s a former senator and veep, a player, a creature who rides currents he cannot generate.
And he was an elderly senator last night when instead of commanding, he collegially admitted he was out of time and ceded the floor to someone else.
Even as a rider rather than a driver, he must have had some fangs at some point in his career, but last night he was not even passive aggressive. He looked like he had just taken a long walk and might be lost.

Let’s spread it far and wide. The Dems are beyond Socialist.

In fact, they have more in common with Lenn than Putin does!

Sounded like a food fight with all of them talking when one was asked a question; and mostly Trump bashing. And yeah, not an American flag in sight.

Rush read some results of internal Democrat polling the other day.

73% say that “prior experience in elective office” is a must have. That is very bad news for Moochelle, and probably for Buttgigger the Mayor of a town 1/3 the size of Toledo, Ohio.

40% said that “being a woman” was their deal breaker. So the nominee must have a vajayjay.

Similar numbers said young and vibrant was important. All of that spells trouble for Biden and Bernie.

Out of time was very ironic wasn't it.

What a wonderfully athletic young lady, good for her. First base, huh? "Who's on first, what's on second...''

Pitcher and catcher handle ball every play. Next is first base who not only has to catch ball but know where to throw ball next like stopping runner from going to third. She upstairs getting ready for 11:30 game. She’ happy and having fun. What else can you hope for.

Winning a Democratic Debate is like winning in the Special Olympics, even if you win, you’re still retarded.

Funny how kids gravitate to a sport early on and excel. Good for the future Bobby Orr. Enjoy every minute with him so he will always carry those memories and tell them to his grandsons. Peace to you and your family
