The RNC’s Idiotic Yes or No Question
Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | June 16, 2019 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 06/26/2019 12:38:52 PM PDT by Kaslin

RUSH: Anyway, the Democrats are all excited about that. They’re all excited about the picture. They’re all excited about Democrat debates beginning tonight! They’re all excited about the ongoing prospect of getting rid of Donald Trump before the 2020 election and, failing that, they want to get rid of Trump at the 2020 election.

I got a flash message last night from one of the staff here. Here it is. “I worry about the status of literacy in our country. I worry about the status of overall education.” What I have here is a photo. And I don’t need to put this up. It would be too small on the Dittocam, you wouldn’t be able to read it. But it’s a mailer from the RNC to people they think are Republicans, either donors, potential donors, or what have you.

And it’s a survey. The 2020 critical issues survey from the Republican National Committee. And I have the first three questions here.

Question 1: “Are you more enthusiastic or less enthusiastic about the 2019, 2020 presidential cycle than you were four years ago?”

Question 2: “Would you consider serving as a Trump victory volunteer in your community?”

Question 3 – and this is the one I want to call your attention to. Ready for this? “Do you support capitalism and free markets or socialism and government control of the economy? Yes, no, no opinion.” What do you mean “yes, no” — how do you answer this? You got two options in the question and your options are yes and no, what are you saying your “yes” to?

“Do you support capitalism and free markets or socialism and government control of the economy?” One of them ought to be capitalism. The other ought to be socialism. They’re “yes” and “no.” They can’t possibly learn anything no matter how anybody answers this unless they choose “no opinion.” That’s the third option. How does this get past anybody?

This is the Republican National Committee 2020 critical issues survey. And this question’s kind of key because we do have people who think it’s gonna be a binary election, socialism versus capitalism, and here’s the RNC asking people what they prefer and the question doesn’t give the people taking the questionnaire an opportunity to tell ’em.

I know what happened here. The wizard that put this together thinks this way. Do you support capitalism, free markets? That’s the yes. Or socialism and government? That’s the no. Somebody with either supervisor intelligence and the ability to divine what other people are thinking — one of my skills — is the only way I can make any sense out of this. The average person, if they even open this thing and then read it are not gonna know how to answer that. So it’s worthless.

Limbaugh once again making something out of nothing. He of course never makes any grammatical, syntactical or pronunciation errors.

I throw out all of the crap from the RNC.

The RNC has devolved into just a bunch of country club RINOs hunting for money.

Their so called "surveys" are just a stupid way of begging for cash.

“””I throw out all of the crap from the RNC”””

I write on it BUILD THE WALL, then return it. I do not fill them out.

Any future ones I get, BUILD THE WALL, TRUMP 2020!

This is like when Yogi Berra told some one to take this road and when you come to a fork in the road, take it.

These PHONY "surveys" have been sent out by the RNC for many decades and the ONLY thing they REALLY are,are cons looking for < B>donations!

They used to come with a stamped or prepaid envelope. Now they want you to use your won stamp.

The newest twist is that they say that you have your own ID# and hint that you "MUST" fill it all out and return it.

I just tear it up and put the pieces in the garbage and suggest everyone else does that too.

“He of course never makes any grammatical, syntactical or pronunciation errors.”

Hey, you don’t get that golden EIB microphone for making mistakes!

I used to get RNC questionaires to give them ‘guidance’ on ranking items by their importance to me. I’d fill it out and send it in with a donation. Then, soon after, I’d get a fund solicitation letter that was curiously tailored to push my hot buttons precisely.

IOW, they were using me to find out how to get more money from me.

Now, anything I get, which sadly includes Trump/Pence campaign, that says RNC on it anywhere gets trashed. They have their hands in everything, I’ve found. Can’t donate to Trump without these Clymers getting a cut.

Exactly. Whether the questions make sense is irrelevant to their real purpose.

That’s your take on this? Dozens of people probably had to vet these questions and the dumbasses still got it wrong. And there would be no FRee Republic if not for Rush.

IF the RNC “surveys” weren’t such OBVIOUSLY just begging for $$$$$$$ & I thought that somebody “in authority” might ever even read the responses, I might bother reading/filling them out.
These days, they go straight to “the round file”.

Yours, TMN78247

These things are fund raisers. The RNC could care less what you think as long as you slip a few bucks in the envelope.

The point Rush is making is exactly correct. There are two choices given in the question, you need to pick one, it is NOT a yes or no question.

Do you support capitalism or socialism?

‘He of course never makes any grammatical, syntactical or pronunciation errors.’

since 1988, I have never heard him use the first person singular proper pronoun correctly...

“Limbaugh once again making something out of nothing.”

Hardly....The question is nonsensical and invalidates the entire premise of it.

It has absolutely nothing to do with “grammatical, syntactical or pronunciation errors”

The point is this: Everyone makes mistakes when writing or dictating a message. Sometimes the proofreader misses the mistake. It isn’t the end of the world and I find it comical. I have found in my twenty years of posting in this forum I have made countless errors. Some due to careless proofreading and some to out of control auto-correct.

For this lard assed, oxycontin freak to be making a big deal out of it shows just how divorced from reality he has become. He is making a major commotion out of a junk mail fund raising letter.

Ditto. Not long ago, conducting a survey took a lot of time and effort. Anyone involved in designing, or conducting the survey would take the time to learn the fundamentals — or seek the help of someone with the know-how. And, their work would be reviewed by others, just to be sure. Now, various survey apps make it so easy that, apparently, even morons are able to crank out what purports to be a survey. The RNC should be embarrassed.

Limbaugh, like myself and everyone else, makes errors BUT the question as written is idiotic, a yes or no answer gives zero useful information, just as Rush says.

Do you prefer your steak cooked rare or your iced tea with lemon? Yes or no, no opinion please.
