Did he have information which would lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton or something?
He was anti-liberal fought political correctness in the most liberal, politically correct city in the USA. He was also a big supporter of the NYPD and NYFD.
He was what journalism is supposed to be. A great investigative reporter.
Journalism is now dead.
Jimmy Breslin was his liberal alter-ego.
I remember him from a 60 Minutes-type show that the Fox Network tried to launch in its early days.
I used to see him sitting at the bar in NYC. Langans, off Times Square. Regular guy, down to earth, friendly. R I.P. Steve.
I saw him at Langan’s several times and even shot the sh!t with him at the bar. with him at the bar.
A hard hitting reporter in a hard hitting city during one of its most turbulent times, Steve pulled no punches and told it as it was .... RIP to one of the greats.
Rest in peace, Steve Dunleavy.
RIP.
