It’s been extremely common for news accounts to portray Donald Trump’s candidacy as a “working-class” rebellion against Republican elites.… But the definition of “working class” and similar terms is fuzzy, and narratives like these risk obscuring an important and perhaps counterintuitive fact about Trump’s voters: As compared with most Americans, Trump’s voters are better off. The median household income of a Trump voter so far in the primaries is about $72,000.
Normally, even a candidate as politically inept as Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be dumb enough to publicly insult the customers, but the polls and the projections of all the experts indicated she was a sure winner. The most pessimistic estimate of her chances came from Nate Silver, who indicated that she had a 71 percent chance of winning. So, she had every reason to believe that she could get away with an honest declaration of the malice with which she regarded the voters who failed to support her. And, like the “expert” projections, all the polls suggested that she was right. Fortunately, they were wrong.
But there’s one factor when it comes to Trump that no poll will ever be able to register: the tendency of a substantial number of his supporters to lie. The American Psychological Association released a study in May of 1,000 American voters who said after the 2016 election that they voted for a different candidate than the one they had publicly said they would. Among the study’s participants, 27% secretly voted for Clinton, but an astounding 54% voted for Trump.

It’s that stark to me. It never used to be. As one pundit said, the Democrats and Republicans used to agree on the goals but disagree on the methods. Now they disagree on the goals.

So, don’t keep telling us that the GOP-establishment, ‘Country Club Republicans’, (behind elitist BS that’s driving Conservatives out of the party)... is now with the President and his plan to stay in the WH.
There is no longer a functional ‘GOP’. It’s just a crowd of ‘out-of-touch’, selfish politicians whose moribund wealth can no longer get them what they want. It’s increasingly obvious that their power serves only them and they’re not even smart enough to do themselves any good.
Their money couldn’t get THEIR guy into the WH and it couldn’t keep Trump OUT. So it’s all pretty obvious to me.

Actually there is a lot more to it than just those who Lied to pollsters...
Trump’s support, a huge bit of it, particularly in the rust belt, were people who had been politically disenfranchised.... Honest hard working traditionally multi generational democrats, who’s party has marched so far off the left wing cliff, that they simply stopped voting altogether.
Their party had marched away from them, given them the finger, and the GOP, frankly never gave them a reason to vote for them either... so they just disengaged.
To pollsters, even if they got a hold of one of these people, and those people honestly told them I PLAN TO VOTE FOR TRUMP.... the pollsters would ignore their responses, because they hadn’t voted in the last election or two.. as such, they got classified as “UNLIKELY” voters, so they were removed from the numbers.
Yes, the Trump Voter will NEVER return to the Democratic party... the real question is, will the GOP, stop being a tool of the Chamber of Commerce and the Koch Brothers and other globalist advocates, find new money men, and be able to keep these voters after Trump is gone? In other words, will the GOP become the party of MAGA/KAG, or will they , once Trump is gone, return again the party of folks lining their pockets selling America down the globalist toilet?
It is clear to me that much of the GOPe doesn’t have any true desire to change.... and if that is true, expect those MAGA/KAG voters who voted for Trump, but aren’t traditional GOP voters... to once again evaporate from the polls once he is gone.
WAKE UP, GOP! You need to get off your addiction to the Koch Brothers and Chamber of Commerce money, and realize, you can keep control for a generation or more, at least, if you change... if not... well, expect to be replaced.... because when the decision is between rapid globalism or slow globalism.... sooner or later, you wind up with a backlash, this one was at the polls.... the next one, if you fail to learn, may be with arms.
The Electoral College is MORE IMPORTANT today than it has ever been. The big cities like Boston, NYC, Philly, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, LA, SF, Seattle, Denver, etc., they ALL have the dimocrat voters living in those large cities so that they can get all that free stuff. It is the rural areas, the small towns and cities, the smaller population states such as Wyoming that get screwed when just the selected few, the large population states like the LEFTIST coast, Houston, Chicago, Miami, the East Coast, cities and states like those that will rule the entire nation. EVERYONE’s vote should count for something. If there is not a way to make that happen, then just the selected few will rule over everyone else. The Commies will do everything they can to get rid of the Electoral College. That is one of their main goals. If they can get rid of it, they will win every election from now on. AND, with the RINOs being simply Commies Lite, they are no help to the conservatives of this nation. I smell a civil war coming some day. This country is to deeply divided. The Deep State is doing all they can to put in that Obama Secret Police Force, so they can rule, just ole Chairman Mao said, by the barrel of a gun, that is who rules.
