House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said Sunday that Congress is "running out of time" to have former special counsel Robert Mueller testify, adding that he hopes a "final conclusion" is reached on his possible testimony "this week."
"We have been in private discussions with the special counsel's office," Schiff told CNN's "State of the Union." "It is not clear that he will refuse to come in voluntarily; we are negotiating what the conditions of that appearance might be. But yes, we are running out of time."
"I hope that we'll reach that decision this week because we want to have him come in during July and I think that's going to be the case ... whether it is voluntary or involuntary by subpoena," Schiff added. He told CNN last week that he wants Mueller to testify before the August recess.

I’ll bet Schiff is lying (I know. Easy call.) No way he’s in talks with Mueller. Schiff knows it would be a PR nightmare for Mueller to be questioned in open committee.
For sure! Schiff wants to green-light the "serious inquiry areas" of Dems' likely questions and keep Mueller from having to answer Republicans' "sources, methods and other nosiness areas." Then both HPSCI and Mueller will be "cooking with gas."
Exactly right. Shiff’s sense of urgency is because after the recess, he knows the public hysteria they’ve created will be gone and with it their whole case.
Has no one told Adam that it would be a disaster if they let Mueller testify.

Pencilneck has to be feeling the pucker factor. The one running out of time is Chairman Linda Graham. He promised devastating hearings, and all we hear is crickets. These MOABS need to land on target well before November 2020. The opposition is expert at stalling for time, and the good guys are now also dragging their feet. Have Linda’s hearings hit the Senate schedule?

‘Rats after whipping their base into a frenzy with the promise of getting rid of Trump via Mueller, impeachment or any other means are now coming face to face with the truth that it’s not going to happen, and have to try to let their people down without too much of a bump lest the mob come looking for them with torches and pitchforks......
