Warren: GOP Has ‘Hacked Away’ Bits of Roe v. Wade, Make it Law of the Land
Breitbart ^ | 22 June 2019 | Hannah Bleau

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said the GOP has “hacked away” too many pieces of Roe v. Wade, so she called for a bill to make it the law of the land during an appearance at a Planned Parenthood forum at the University of South Carolina Saturday.

Warren said progressives have been on “defense,” defending Roe v. Wade for 47 years and strictly relying on the courts. That, she argued, needs to change.

“But the truth is, we’ve been on defense for 47 years, and it’s not working,” she said.

The GOP, she claimed, has “chipped away” and “hacked away” at the ground under the left’s feet.

I’m not a Senator like the Indian woman, Warren, but as I recall Roe v Wade ruled that states could not touch abortion in the first trimester, could limit it in the second trimester and could prohibit it (with some exceptions) in the third.

When Senator Warren says she wants Roe v Wade made a federal law, is she saying she’s willing to roll back the laws in IL, NY, VA as well as the laws in MO, GA and AL?

Does she not realize roe is the law of the land.

Note. The 2nd Amendment is over 230 years old, explicit and clear in the constitution that says no infringement, yet uniparty chips away at it at the federal, state and local level. Uniparty doesnt consider it settled law even though the founders put it in our foundational document.

However, roe isnt even 50 years old, nowhere is there any right to an abortion in the constitution, yet uniparty refuses to accept any federal, state or local infringements upon it. Uniparty considers this sham settled law.

The complete hypocrisy of uniparty is blatantly evident.

Further, even though the 230+ year old 2a, which is explicit and clear in the contitutuon, uniparty does not set aside hundreds of milions of dollars each year to give to citizens to exercise this inalienable right.

However, for roe, less than only 50 years old, and even though no right right to abortion exists in the constitution, uniparty pays hundreds of milions of dollars every year to pay for citizens to have abortions.

Roe v. Wade is patently unconstitutional, and, thus, an illegal and invalid decision.

Not only that, a Supreme Court decision is NEVER the law of the land. Only Congress can legislate and make law. It’s possible the Left is worried that sooner than later, the Right will wise up to all of this and will utterly nullify both Roe v. Wade and overturn unconstitutional federal interference with state anti-abortion laws.

Congress making an unconstitutional abortion law would just be another illegal federal act, but would put elected officials on record and probably jeopardize some political careers. THAT is what these corrupt congressmen are really worried about. Going on record.

It did. But on the very same day the SC handed down Roe, it handed down Doe v Bolton, which obliterated the restrictions left after Roe. Like Jane Roe, Mary Doe claimed her case too, was based on lies.

Not working?

Sixty-one million victims of Roe v. Wade could not be reached for comment.

I’m not a Senator like the Indian woman, Warren, but as I recall Roe v Wade ruled that states could not touch abortion in the first trimester, could limit it in the second trimester and could prohibit it (with some exceptions) in the third.

Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992) overruled Roe regarding enforcement, replacing the "trimester framework" with the "undue burden standard." That standard says a State can restrict abortion pre-viability as much as it wants as long as it doesn't impose a "substantial obstacle" (i.e., an undue burden) in a woman's effort to obtain an abortion.

Does Fauxcahantas want to restore the trimester framework, simply codify the undue burden standard, or has she not thought this far ahead? Fortunately, it won't matter since the Republicans control the Senate and President Trump would veto such a bill if it reached his desk.

The use of the word "hacked" has as much distaste as calling a woman a welfare queen. Warren should put herself in the place of these babies. How would she feel if, as a baby in her mother's womb, she was "hacked" into pieces and suctioned into a tissue repository?

Not only that, a Supreme Court decision is NEVER the law of the land.

Indeed, let's try this article in a slightly different way....

Warren said progressives have been on “defense,” defending Dred Scott for 47 years and strictly relying on the courts. That, she argued, needs to change.

“But the truth is, we’ve been on defense for 47 years, and it’s not working,” she said.

The GOP, she claimed, has “chipped away” and “hacked away” at the ground under the left’s feet.

“And inch at a time, piece at a time, they’ve chipped away, hacked away at the ground under our feet,” Warren explained. “So that Slavery becomes narrower – becomes more limited.”

Despite those numbers, Warren – who wholeheartedly believes progressives have been on “defense” – claimed that 75 percent of Americans want to see Dred Scott upheld and called for a federal law to make it the law of the land.

“It’s not enough to say we’re going to rely on the courts,” she said. “We need to pass a federal law to make Dred Scott the rule of the law always.”

“This is a democracy (ED note: no it isn't, Counsel). In democracy, the laws should reflect the values of the people,” she continued. “So I say it is time to go on offense with Dred Scott.”

“And understand when we do that, we can add and say and no more of this semi-repeal of Dred Scott,” she added. “Take another bite out of Dred Scott. Take an undercut of Slavery. We’re going to make it the law. Let’s make it the law for real again.”
