When did public demonstrations become “threats”
Or is there more to the story?
Good!
May it start in Salem.
WELCOME TO FREE REPUBLIC
If this was socialists it would have said “concerned people gathering as a show of support” instead of “threats” and “demonstrate” even if reality was Antifa going there to riot.
Give me a break.
‘Sen. Brian Boquist, one of the Republicans currently on the lam, sent a warning to state police Wednesday.
‘Send bachelors and come heavily armed, Boquist said. Im not going to be a political prisoner in the state of Oregon. Its just that simple.’
Does this militia have a name?
This is in Oregon, wait until they try to pull this crap in Texas this climate hoax stuff ain’t going to work.
When republicans do it!
Threat, potential threat....same thing, right?
But they have no authority outside the state.
As long as they remain outside the state, I would not expect the state police to be able to do anything.
And since when did Oregon become such a police state.
It would be really nice if Oregon voters were aghast enough at the antics of their party leaders to actually vote them out of office next election, but for die hard dems, I am not expecting so much common sense.
So far, two groups have been identified....Oregon 3-Percenters, and Real 3-Percenters Idaho. Both groups have been around for a decade (more or less). Membership is questionable, but I would take a guess that in terms of combined true membership...the two might have 1,500 real members, and maybe a couple of thousand who might read their material.
I would question any militia that might show up in Salem, and if they are legit militia members or just fake Antifa guys with militia t-shirts on. I also have doubts that the state police will take a order to seize lawmakers as legit or serious. They might nod their head but they’ve got better things to do.
It’s good to see that the Constitutional militias are activating. Trump will eventually need them.
I think it’s worth noting that tomorrow is Saturday. Strangely, the “gun nuts” can’t seem to make it to protest during the week. Jobs, or some such excuse. Lars Larson got on them a couple of weeks ago for their useless protest when nobody was at the legislature...again, on a Saturday. I think Peter Courtney just took the opportunity to get in a shot at the protestors before taking the weekend off.
Whether there’s an actual threat from a *militia* is speculative.
Considering the Nazi state of Oregon is trying to use the state police to force the senators back so they can railroad their politics through, I strongly suspect the use of the terms *militia* and *threat*.
As far as I can see it, anyone standing up to dem tyranny is considered a *threat*.
Send bachelors and come heavily armed, Boquist said. Im not going to be a political prisoner in the state of Oregon. Its just that simple.
A GOP senator with some manhood!
What a novel concept!!!!!!!
I would love for it to be contagious, but still, this is a brilliant move on the part of the senators. Good for them for sticking together and having the wherewithal to actually do it.
It's an idea that would work in other states, too.
I would love to see the dems forced to show their true colors just in time for an election year. It would give us so much to work with.
Permits are required to pick mushrooms on some Fed Rec Area land just north of here. A friend's daughter said that one of her friends was picking 'shrooms, and a State trooper wearing a ghillie suit dropped out of a tree and landed beside her. Drones, and a command post set up not too far away.
It’s getting hotter.
Only a threat when it is white supremacist militia
As I understand it, the right wing in Oregon has virtually no political power and its voice is being strangled. People in this situation have two choices: submit or revolt. Americans are not real good at submitting. The intolerant left is not leaving people much choice.
