Xi Jinping has departed Beijing for Pyongyang, a historic trip that marks the first time a Chinese leader has traveled to North Korea in 14 years.
He left the Chinese capital Thursday morning with his wife and several key aides, including Foreign Minister Wang Yi, top diplomat Yang Jiechi, and key economic adviser He Lifeng, according to Chinese state media.
Xi will spend two days in the North Korean capital with leader Kim Jong Un, in what is expected to be a largely symbolic affair.

I’ve always thought that China should be much more concerned about a DPRK nuke than anyone else. Beijing is only 400 miles from North Korea, while the US West Coast is nearly 6000 miles. They share a border, we have an ocean between us.

1) HK kerfuffle is a major threat to the CCP to the point their propaganda orgs for domestic consumption say it was anti American protests against our tariffs and all else is censored
2) Chinese banks are failing - massive bad loans on BS projects that are never going to service debt
3) Chinese pig “ebola” is going to wipe out 50%+ of their hogs
4) There is a caterpillar loose in China that is going to wipe out 40 to 50% of their grain crops
5) Trump’s tariffs are already killing their economy and he has 360 billion to go
6) China’s knee jerk reaction threatening the multinationals went over like a lead balloon and many are going to skedaddle for places with less political risk and they are not coming back
7) Currency devaluation inflates imported food prices and unemployment is going to hit China hard
8) etc
“Almost” nobody saw the collapse of the USSR coming. The CCP is between a rock and a hard place with the sword of Damocles over their head and both feet on banana peels. Peeing in our Wheaties is not front of mind for them right now.
China’s correction, when it hits, will pound China so hard that the ChiCom bastards running the country are going to be hard pressed to stay in power. If the ChiComs try to divert the attention of the Chinese people with a war with the US or its allies they are going to be dumped into the ashbin of history. When America dismantles their army, blows it airforce out of the skies, sinks its navy, and pillages all of its foreign assets the Chinese people will hunt down and kill members of the Communist Party of China.
China’s economy and consequently their society, is screwed without the USA. Trump is using the most powerful weapon of all, their pocketbooks, which is their grasp on their society. China knows this and is going to NK to offer a face saving way to let NK acquiesce to USA demands with China’s blessing so that China can in turn save face. I believe that Kim Jong wants to deal with the USA, but ultimately, he is China’s b*tch. Trump has forced China to give Kim a way to save face and stay in China’s good graces while at the same time working with the USA. And Kim can take the credit for bringing about a multilateral agreement and remain a ‘hero’ to his people. If this looks like it is going to work, watch for Russia to fall in line shortly as well. Greatest President ever.
They also have 1.2 BILLION to feed. About 1 billion are POOR

On top of that they tariffed our ag. Genius move... NOT!!
Even with 100% pork and 100% grain domestic production they have to import a lot of foodstuffs because they can’t feed their population. Given the worm and ebola and import ag tariffs and expatriation of jobs they are going to have social unrest. It is like the perfect storm.
Maybe Xi went to the NORKs to see about importing tree bark and grass for soup for his soon to be “hangry” masses.
China is behind the NK nukes—as they (and the CIA) are behind the whole NK farce.
I don’t know about that.
I recently read, that 94% are now out of poverty.
And there are now MORE millionaires in China, than in America.
And China continues to CLOBBER America, with a truly massive trade deficit.
