Tennessee detective turned pastor blocked from Cracker Barrel following LGBT comments

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-A Tennessee detective and pastor is being denied hosting an event at Cracker Barrel following comments calling the LGBT community "freaks" and saying gay people were "worthy of death."

Knox County Sheriff's Detective Grayson Fritts first came under fire last week after video of a sermon at All Scripture Baptist Church surfaced. Among the multiple comments taking aim at the LGBT community, Fritts stated "And God has instilled the power of civil Government to send the police in 2019 out to these LGBT freaks and arrest them and have a trial for them. And if they are convicted then they are to be put to death."

Although the video has since been removed by YouTube for violating the company's policy on hate speech, the comments have led to the District Attorney looking into complaints against the former detective who says he "took a buyout" from his job.

Fritts and the All Scripture Baptist Church were slated to host an event at a local Cracker Barrel but the company took a hard stance against hosting any such event, stating "he and his group will not be permitted on site."

As pastors go, he’d make a great detective.

The “worthy of death” statement crosses the line.
That sounds like the Taliban to me.
They were correct to turn down this particular person, be he a pastor or not.

Well it’s not like they won’t let him eat there.

They won’t let him host an event there.

He could claim to be gay and sue them. But otherwise he’s out of luck.

IMHO calling for death for ANY of your fellow Americans, unless and until they are proved to commit murder or treason (or, obviously are attacking you, breaking in, etc) crosses a line, and a line that should lead to ostericization

And yet Imams from coast to coast are free to call for the destruction of America and the killing of Christians and Jews as a matter of policy.

I don’t agree with the concept of hate crime (a crime is a crime regardless of where it comes from), but I do agree there is hate out there, and I don’t condone it.

I also don’t agree with the LGBT (or whatever other letters you want to apply) lifestyle, but saying they are worthy of being killed or harmed is also wrong.

This guy sounds like he needs to just fade away. I don’t blame Cracker barrel for asking him to leave.

You don't know your scripture.

Rom 1:27-32: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

It's debatable as to what kind of death Paul refers, but the phrase is in the New Testament, and it does refer to homosexuals. But it also refers to a lot of different sins, so the second death is likely inferred.

Christians did not have the prerogative to actually execute anybody during the time Paul wrote this, so I suspect eternal death, i.e. Hell, is what he meant.

Screw ‘Whataboutism’

Wrong is wrong, period.

What others say or do has *ZERO* effect on what I am going to condemn.

Not that these Imams shouldn’t be rounded up and deported, as Islam is a political virus, not a religion.

I don’t understand. If he was turned away because of being Black, it would be against the law. Why the difference

This pastor seems to forget there are none righteous and that we are all worthy of death. Including him. The goal is to save souls not just to tell the lost how bad they, and we, are.

He should open his own Cracker Barrel and advertise it on his own internet. It’s the conservative thing to do.

Claiming it should be enforced as law is.

I don’t wish to live in a theocracy,ANY THEOCRACY, because a government that can enforce Biblical law literally is also a government that is empowered to enforce Sharia law.
