“Injured”?
Seriously?
Not to mention that the BF was slow on the draw...
The victim is the one that cut the woman then attacked another and got shot?
What motivated the woman to attack?
Poor choice of words. Show a mindset biased against self defense and guns.
Piss poor writing.....again....
Should be “after woman WAS attacked”...
The writer is in severe need of grammar training. Glad the boyfriend was armed and able to ‘cut’ the response time.
Brought a box-cutter to a gunfight.
The perp is the one that cut the woman then attacked her boyfriend and then got shot by the victin’s boyfriend?
Imagine that Police Report. It probably looked like an outline of a novel by John Steinbeck or E. Hemingway.
Could establish an annual competition:
“It was a Dark and Stormy Attack...”
"after HE attacked woman" or "after woman WAS attacked" would have needed a lot less parsing.
I agree. If you are shot 3 times, I would call that an injury.
Boyfriend was a bit unchivalrous to wait so long.
Blade attacks can happen very fast.
The woman could have been cut in a couple of seconds while the boyfriend accessed the gun, then the attacker turned to him and got shot.
As usual media calls perps Victim.
“Rescue Squad Helps Dog Bite Victim”
I see this, quite commonly.
What I think is happening is these are automated transcripts of news broadcasts. The intonations and body language do not get put into automated transcripts.
There, very likely, is *no* writer. There is software that is transcribing the spoken word.
On the positive side, we would never learn of this local coverage unless it was for the automated transcripts that can easily be searched for on the Internet.
He may not have been right near her, but reacted to her screams and ran to investigate.
That is correct...It also is true for verbal automation...I have heard on Youtube things like “Mr. Watson” being spoken as “mrrr Watson” with a pause between the “mrrr” and the word “Watson” caused by the period......
