Chasten Buttigieg, husband to South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D), said he's proud of the progress that has been made in the gay rights movement leading to his husband's presidential candidacy, but warned that there is still a long way to go "for equality."
"The fight for equality is far from over," Buttigieg said Monday at a Democratic National Convention gala for LGBTQ rights in New York.
"I wish I could stand here and tell you that all of the responses to my husband running for president have either been positive or that the criticisms have simply been about his policy decisions," Buttigieg continued.
"I wish I could tell you that every voicemail, email, social media message and text that I receive isn't hateful, bigoted or homophobic. I wish I could tell you that the world has unequivocally accepted Peter and I, but I cant," he said. "And that's why I march."

This clown mayor’s candidacy isn’t going anywhere and is only being kept alive because he’s the token “out” sword-swallower (besides Kamala Harris) and the media are afraid to treat him with anything but kid gloves.
Once the dem primary is over and he’s officially tossed to the curb he’ll be completely forgotten about, except when the leftist mediots have their “I can’t believe I promoted his candidacy” moments. The only sex-related right that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect deals only with voting rights, evidenced by the 19th Amendment.
19th Amendment:
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation [emphasis added]."
And the Supreme Court has clarified that powers that the states havent expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds, the power to protect LGBT people in this example, are prohibited to the feds.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
So Buttigieg is wrong to try to get himself elected president so that he can push politically correct agenda to effectively make LGBT people protected nobility. Doing so would be a violation of the Founding States Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 in the Constitution anyway.
"Article I, Section 9, Clause 8: No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States [emphasis added]: And no person holding any office or profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state."
Buttigieg needs to remain in state government to try to push LGBT agenda. But even with state powers this wont necessarily be easy to do since states are likewise constitutionally prohibited from establishing protected classes.
"Article I, Section 10, Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility [emphasis added]."
As a state actor, while trying to push pro-LGBT agenda, Buttigieg would also have to respect the law-abiding will of legal majority citizen voters while being careful not to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, especially religious expression.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."
From the 14th Amendment:
"Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
"Section 5: The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

Patriots will still need to try to protect themselves from misguided people like Buttigieg if they don't elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJTs vision for MAGA, but will also promise to make punitive laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.
