Well you just know what Generals are going to recommend. Military actions
Generals usually want to avoid war.
War messes up armies.
That’s such a disrespectful comment. Our military commanders provide options. They have resources trained and ready to give CiC flexibility to negotiate or otherwise. No real American soldier, sailor, or airman seeks war. They fearlessly execute orders and provide all the alternatives with risk assessments of those options.
or - they may get a better feel for what the President wants and make plans that deter rather than escalate...a worthy General doesn’t desire needless bloodshed any more than the rest of us.
