Bill Whittle, Scott Ott, and Stephen Green on Right Angle discussion: Salon, ThinkProgress, Vox and other Progressive media outlets struggle to stay out of bankruptcy despite the growing popularity of socialism in the United States. Is this proof that free enterprise is a failed economic model when a good-hearted Progressive can't make a profit trying to destroy capitalism?
These three guys all nail it, and it boils down to conservatives being aligned intellectually with their business and core beliefs. The Leftist dogma forces them to attack the very elements of a business that are necessary for...uh...a "business"!
This is well worth the view. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, here are a few links to key parts:
That is a very witty and table-turning way of looking at things. I give him all the credit in the world for thinking about this. I without a doubt believe Rush Limbaugh will probably cover this on Monday.

Entertaining situation Salon.com finds itself it!
Conundrum: Vox workers on strike: Do you not click the link and so give click revenue to Vox, or do you click on the link to stick it to the Lefties on strike?????
Bill Whittle hits a Home Run!
It was so elegant, fundamental, and true that it made me actually laugh aloud in delight.
Lets see.... how about this summary:
Cutting their own throats
Heh, right to the point, but we don’t get the glee on Bill Whittle’s face as he makes that point over and over...:)
Whittle, we know that conservatism and freedom sells; but if you don't own the means to distribute it, via Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube, then it doesn't mean nothing. YouTube itself could have censored your video, like they did to Crowder.
Conservatives really need to get together and start forming alternatives to the leftist-controlled social media giants or they're going to lose.
I agree, but this is more about the blogosphere. There is no doubt with both the “professional” media and conglomerations of Google, Twitter, etc., that the Left holds the upper hand.
But they aren’t doing it by the power of logic, reason, and reality, they are doing it by taking over the bodies of media that are not yet recognized universally by the public as being hostile to their interests...which they are.
There are too many people out there who just don’t realize they are being misled at best, and openly lied to at worst by a media they still see as a bulwark against tyranny.
Even worse, but it is starting to come out...a Media that is not just hostile, but has openly collaborated and is colloborating iwith the Left in an attempted takedown of a duly elected government.
The progressive ideology is counter productive to growth. That is why progressive cities are full of homeless.

Destroying the Globalist Deep State is the answer to preserving our free speech and capitalist way of like. Not an easy task with the headwind they have. Don’t think for minute that these social media sites were spontaneous creations. Ask yourself why do all these sites have liberal front CEOs? It’s because they are DS proxies, carefully chosen and seed funded to run these state information gathering systems to advance the Globalist Socialist/Communist agenda. Yes, our intelligence community is behind it. Not until we rip apart the DS will we get free speech and capitalism back.
One of the problems for conservatives, good for the liberals, with the using of liberal news is that there is enough of it constructed to go around for everyone they create. The people that use liberal news choose to as it “sells papers” to the greedy, uneducated, and the lost looking for something to hang on to, souls. It promises the moon and doesn’t give you anything but a piece of survival. But that’s more than a large majority of their followers had, so what do they have to lose.
The problem with conservatives is they don’t call the liberals on this tactic and let them get away with it. The only thing liberals can get you is survival, maybe. The only thing conservatives can get you is the opportunity to create your own survival. One constitutes work, the other grovelling. Grovelling is easier. Grovelling is votes. Which one treats the people with dignity? That is never brought up.

Very well said.
In the first paragraph, you made a key point that once you know and understand it, cannot be unknown and not understood: The media is primarily in it for money, to obtain eyes on their programming, sell papers, or generate clicks. They are too cowardly to admit that the thing they despise, capitalism, is what they have to kowtow to in order to get a paycheck.
So, everything they do is dedicated to that end.
What makes it so egregiously annoying is that they have filled their ranks with politically like minded people, which makes their support for “diversity” so absurd when the most important diversity, “diversity of thought” is outlawed, avoided, and punished.
And as to you last paragraph, that is why so many of us wholeheartedly support President Trump. He points it out. They call him unbalanced, unfair, unethical, unprincipled, uncouth, unfeeling, untruthful, and un-Presidential for doing so, but he does it. He fights. And every time he points out the nature of the media...many of us stand up and cheer!
Good post, rwood...
Thank you. Glad you brought in the “generate clicks” ideology. At the normal levels, media is nothing more than a tool. At the higher levels like radio, and especially, television which required a face, there are people lining up to be that face. And they will sell their souls to the devil to get there. All for the money and notoriety. What a waste of time and technology when it comes down to that since the average wage of a large market newscaster (?) can be as much as $875K a year. With the average wage of the US being $41,184 a year, that means that citizen is making less than 5% of what the highly over rated political prostitute makes. And that’s just what they are. And the line of wanna be’s is endless. And who actually is the bigger plus to the country: $875 or $41? Too bad enough of $41 doesn’t see that and vote accordingly along with choosing their providers of information a little more wisely. Or, at the least, following the trail further than blind belief even if they don’t have the education or intelligence to do so. They would get smarter rapidly.

The progressive media is redundant. MSNBC, CNN, NYT, WaPo and the rest of the liberal media complex already fill their niche. MarketWatch and CNBC consistently hammer Trump while proposing socialism. The progressive media isn’t dying - it’s being co-opted by more established and better-financed liberal media. Is there a single subject on which the NYT holds a different opinion from Vox?
Oh, I agree they are being co-opted...the point of the three men on the panel is that they cannot make it on their own, while conservatively based blogs that are producing varied content (not just words typed on a web page)
The Left can only make it by being bought out by someone with big pockets or donated to by someone with big pockets who can use it as a “loss leader”.
Conservative blogs can survive on individual subscriptions and views.
