Very well said.

In the first paragraph, you made a key point that once you know and understand it, cannot be unknown and not understood: The media is primarily in it for money, to obtain eyes on their programming, sell papers, or generate clicks. They are too cowardly to admit that the thing they despise, capitalism, is what they have to kowtow to in order to get a paycheck.

So, everything they do is dedicated to that end.

What makes it so egregiously annoying is that they have filled their ranks with politically like minded people, which makes their support for “diversity” so absurd when the most important diversity, “diversity of thought” is outlawed, avoided, and punished.

And as to you last paragraph, that is why so many of us wholeheartedly support President Trump. He points it out. They call him unbalanced, unfair, unethical, unprincipled, uncouth, unfeeling, untruthful, and un-Presidential for doing so, but he does it. He fights. And every time he points out the nature of the media...many of us stand up and cheer!

Good post, rwood...

Thank you. Glad you brought in the “generate clicks” ideology. At the normal levels, media is nothing more than a tool. At the higher levels like radio, and especially, television which required a face, there are people lining up to be that face. And they will sell their souls to the devil to get there. All for the money and notoriety. What a waste of time and technology when it comes down to that since the average wage of a large market newscaster (?) can be as much as $875K a year. With the average wage of the US being $41,184 a year, that means that citizen is making less than 5% of what the highly over rated political prostitute makes. And that’s just what they are. And the line of wanna be’s is endless. And who actually is the bigger plus to the country: $875 or $41? Too bad enough of $41 doesn’t see that and vote accordingly along with choosing their providers of information a little more wisely. Or, at the least, following the trail further than blind belief even if they don’t have the education or intelligence to do so. They would get smarter rapidly.
