Gov. Steve Sisolak on Friday signed a multi-pronged gun control bill into law during an emotional ceremony in Las Vegas.
This is going to go a long way towards keeping our community safer, Sisolak told reporters. Its reasonable.
Assembly Bill 291 bans bump stocks, which effectively convert semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons. The devices were used during the Route 91 Harvest festival mass shooting to accelerate the gunfire that killed 58 people and wounded hundreds more.
Sisolak fought back tears on Friday when talking about the tragedy.
The act creates red flag laws to take guns from those deemed to be threatening to themselves or others. Not only does this work to prevent mass shootings, Sisolak said, but it also creates an opportunity to get people help during a time of crisis.

[[This is going to go a long way towards keeping our community safer, Sisolak told reporters.]]
None of the other 10’s of 1000’s of laws will keep us safe then? So perhaps we should just do away with all of them because they weren’t ‘sensible gun laws’? Is that what he’s implying?
[[The act creates red flag laws to take guns from those deemed to be threatening to themselves or others.]]
Here we go folks- several states now have these red flag laws I believe- they won’t come out and mass confiscate, but will confiscate on a per individual basis so that noone notices or forms a group of people strong enough to effectively resist-
none of this melodramatic bullkrap has any positive impact on society (just the contrary... it combines contempt for America and American citizens’ rights.. with a big stinking dose of additional hypocritical hysteria from the political sector...)
none of which we needed.
almost nobody will pay any attention to this illegal BS anyways, so why do these lying basturd political hacks keep up this sickening act, anyways? one would think they already have the ten percent of the (naive or evil) voters who helped elected them anyway
[[Yeah gov sissypants, absolutely none of this has any effect on bad guys.]]
They don’t wanna disarm the bad guys- their only goal is disarming the public by deeming them ‘a danger to themselves or others’
The SC NEEDs to shut these red flag laws down hard!
That's as much as I needed to see.
Can’t they just make killing people illegal?
Uh, gun? What gun?
Fixed it.
Like I said, a hot steamin’ pile of sisolack.
Gun control laws only benefit criminals.
Slippery slopes are not reasonable.
the only problem with ‘boating accidents’ then is that folks won’t have the gun in the home for self protection- because they will never know when the state gov authorities will raid their house based on someone’s dislike and red flag report of them-
[[The act creates red flag laws to take guns from those who we think shouldn’t be allowed to own them.]]
That’s precisely the objective of the left- back door gun confiscations
One of the main reasons only TRUSTED folks should know what you got. If you got anything. Which of course I don’t.
that’s just too insensitive to criminals
Riiiight. Crocodile tears, perhaps.
He added. “This historic bill will make it safer for a certain element to “borrow” money and other goods from random people without having to fear some nut case will pull a firearm and shoot. Coupled with our gun free zones, kids will not have to fear being shot by some crank teacher trying to protect them from the guy down the hall with an assault rife.”
From the article:
I think people that make the slippery slope argument, its just not real, he said.
So see, he addressed your concerns. Straight from the horses ass.
Attention: Criminals...you are now welcome to commit mass killings in Nevada, since people who’ll OBEY the law won’t have bumstocks and you will...
