This is setting Nevada businesses up for law suits when the dopers are fired for not doing their jobs.

Yep. Same should go for bakeries and florists. Don’t give a reason why you’re just saying no.

I have been round and round with the lawyers on this subject. Their advice is not to do drug testing until after an offer of employment has been made and accepted. Will find out Monday if this new law changes their position.

Uh.... where do I work again and... what do I do?

Surely this insane law will not stand SCOTUS scrutiny? Gotta be unconstitutional!
Which clause of the Constitution do you think it violates?
It is a terrible law - employers have the natural right to not hire for any reason they choose.

No employer holds it against a employee who drinks or smokes. I'm sick and tired off the hypocrisy of the Prohibitionists. Show up drunk or stoned on the clock, then out you go. What one smokes or drinks off the clock is a persons own business.

Liability comes with this. Do you support the idea that government can force companies to shoulder liability for which they can’t even get insurance?

"Is smoking dope some mind of civil right?"
Some kind of civil right? Yeah, according to arguments from the dope pushers. According to them, it's unconstitutional to outlaw dope, and anyone who disagrees with them is a commie.
Time is on our side, but get ready. They're getting a little more aggressive.

Well, in the long run, we’re all dead,
if that’s what you mean. The trend is
running more towards legalization, tho.

Whats next, legalizing Cocaine?Cocaine is already legal and has been for decades.
SECTION II GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Schedules of Controlled Substances
In contrast, drugs listed in Schedules II through V all have some accepted medical use and therefore may be prescribed, administered, or dispensed for medical use.
Snip - Examples of Schedule II stimulants include amphetamine (Dexedrine® or Adderall®), methamphetamine (Desoxyn®), and methylphenidate (Ritalin®).
Other Schedule II substances include: cocaine, amobarbital, glutethimide, and pentobarbital.
Cocaine (Topical Route) (Mayo Clinic)
Legal Use of Cocaine in the US
In the United States the crystalline powder is imported to pharmaceutical companies who process and package the cocaine for medical use. Merck Pharmaceutical Company and Mallinckrodt Chemical Works distribute cocaine in crystalline form (hydrochloride salt) in dark colored glass bottles to pharmacies and hospitals throughout the United States.
The issue is that cocaine is "controlled" as in it is a "controlled substance". Certain things you do with cocaine (possession, sale, and trafficking), outside of stated legal usage, is what can be illegal.
I hope you learned something today.

Another insane decree by the gubment wonks.
The other day in a fairly large group, I mentioned that insurance rates in pot legal states have soared and to look for that here. “Oh, I hadn’t thought about that.” many said.
Gee whiz. Whoda thunk?

In Texas, back in the day, first time possession of minute quantities of pot could get you twenty years. Drug warriors of today must salivate at that.
