The Democratic National Committee on Thursday named the 20 presidential candidates who qualified to appear on stage later this month in the first primary debate of the 2020 campaign.

Those who did not meet the threshold for the first debate include: Montana Gov. Steve Bullock; former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel; Miramar, Florida Mayor Wayne Messam; and Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts.
I'm not going to watch this fiasco. If I do it will be on Youtube so I can skip the falsehoods and prevarications.
20 candidates ... this is going to be a farce of a “debate” show, but it ought to show which candidates the press has been ordered to take out. Make note of which candidates get puff-ball questions, and which ones get hostile questions.
I hope all the clowns who were left out of the car sue NBC and the DNC. Because that’s what they do.
Unbelievably (or maybe believably, if you’ve been following this closely), there is a discrepancy on how to calculate the 2 percent cutoff that the DNC will not address publicly.
The top-tier candidates polling at or above 2 percent, using their three best polls:
Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro,
Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto ORourke,
Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren (all of whom crossed both the donor and polling threshold). If you use an average of all qualifying polls, as FiveThirtyEight did in their calculation, Casto falls into the lower-tier group.
The rest of the qualifiers, polling below that mark:
Tulsi Gabbard, Kirsten Gillibrand, Jay Inslee, Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang (who crossed both thresholds).
Additionally: Michael Bennet, Bill de Blasio,
John Delaney, John Hickenlooper, Tim Ryan and Eric Swalwell (who only crossed the polling threshold).
So who is left out? Steve Bullock, Mike Gravel, Wayne Messam and Seth Moulton. There was a chance for an 11th-hour qualification for Bullock on Wednesday, but he didnt break 1 percent in a Monmouth University poll in Nevada (more on that poll below). However, Bullock is demanding entry into the debate. His campaign sent a letter to DNC chief Tom Perez insisting he has crossed the polling threshold (this all hinges on the ruling surrounding an open-ended ABC News/Washington Post poll), I reported.
But the debate qualification tracking continues on: The July debates have the same qualification rules as the June debates, meaning candidates like Bullock still have a shot at making it to Detroit next month. And dont forget about the stepped-up rules for the fall debates, either. Bullocks team alluded to those in the video, and Ive already seen social media ads for a few candidates explicitly driving to the increased 130,000 donor threshold.
The DNC is racist. They kept the mayor of Miramar, Fl out of the debate. Wayne Messam was a football player at FSU and is now mayor of Miramar.
However the image of Castro really exudes pure evil. There is something wrong with that guy. Having seen his stump speeches, Castro is one hateful SOB walking around with a chip on his shoulder and a stick up his ass. Pure hate and anger and resentment.
I am definitely going to watch it.
It’s going to be the embarrassment of the century, Amateur Hour on the national stage in a big way.
It’s going to be a complete and utter catastrophe. No way I would miss this.
Enter the clowns. Pop popcorn, chill the beer, order pizza, and relax. This is epic. Climate change my arse, this is a truely beautiful thing. Wish I had a cotton candy machine and a supply of Carmel Apples. The Democrat Idiot Fair is about to begin.
Don’t know how long they’re going to schedule that “debate” for, but two hours of political horse manure is more than most sane people can tolerate, and two hours divided by 20 clowns comes out to 6 minutes apiece. And that discounting time spent on introductions, questions, clarifications, quieting applause and the like.
If one of the doofuses left off had enough money, they could by commercial air time to greater effect.
What will make it perfect is that all 20 of them will repeat the same talking points, demonstrating for all the world to see what soulless, robotic, cynical monsters they really are.
And then CNN will cluelessly repeat clips of it to remind everyone, up until they get demolished in the 2020 general.
Ron Paul got 90 seconds of a 90 minute debate with a third of the number on stage.
Probably 3 or 4 of them - possibly as many as half, depending on how it shakes out - are going to show up and look stupid the entire time as they never get to say anything, or they might get a few seconds and that’s it.
They will all be fighting to be on the far left side of the stage.
Which one is Castro? I see 2 Asian Americans..
