Garbage, this whole thing is nothing more then media generated outrage. What Trump said was an answer to a hypothetical, and he answered with the truth. Which is exactly what anyone else would do, and has has done in the past. There was no 3-d chess here, it’s just the msm trying to control the narrative in a very biased way. This whole Hatch Act kerfluffle with Kellyanne Conway is more bait, just like this. Now we have Democrats on the record for saying taking foreign intel is wrong, and they’ll all be on the record regarding the Hatch Act. I believe we can look for similar bait concerning the Logan Act here soon.
