U.S. Women’s National Soccer team co-captain Megan Rapinoe refused to sing the national anthem during Tuesday’s World Cup game in France, only six days after the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Rapinioe stood silent with her arms behind her back as the rest of the U.S. team placed their hands over their hearts and sang the Star-Spangled Banner ahead of Tuesday’s game in Reims, France.

I agree they run up the score and showboat against a lower skill opponent. One of them says she won’t go to the White House IF they win and then this arrogant dope won’t stand for the very flag that put her on the field.

Put her down in my book as misguided. She is wrong about Trump but she is also wrong about this country. Too bad but she also is not likely to turn around, because anti-Trumpers do not ever take in anything positive that may change their minds.

I played soccer from the time I was 5 up until I was 23. I referred soccer games from the ages of 12 to 18. I don't have a problem with running up the score, that is required because goal differential stats count, but they way this team celebrated goals was DISGUSTING! Had I been referring, and a team celebrated like that, I would have given yellow cards for unsportsmanlike behavior.
