In Townhall, retired Sheriff David Clarke writes “Clueless In Chicago” while Carl Nolte of the San Francisco Chronicle admits “It’s true -- San Francisco is a mess. And everyone knows it”.
Big cities across our nation have become cesspools and liberal governance has long been the root cause of this decline. The resulting madness ranges from vagrancy to murder.
Eighty-two people shot and 15 dead over two weekends in Chicago. Chicago’s new mayor, Lori Lightfoot, called the violence “unacceptable,” a default term people in charge use when about to accept whatever foul behavior they claim is unacceptable. Just saying, “Remember, folks, killing your next door neighbor is unacceptable” bears precious little response in the Windy City.
Four generations of fatherless families wrought by “welfare” regulations has led to rogue behavior on city streets. Will anyone ever mention that government should not be in the business of tearing families apart? Destroying families by official policy masquerading as charity is detestable.
Let’s leave Chicago before something bad happens to us.
Nolte writes of his beloved San Francisco, “Even in the good old days there was a Skid Row. Now the beggars, drug addicts and lost souls are all over the city”.
Did he say drug addicts? I thought we were calling them the “mentally impaired” because euphemism disguises culpability.
City Hall resolutions that wreck people’s lives are at fault. Say you have a guy looking for a fix. He’s got four complications to resolve: he requires a needle, a supplier, a little cash, and a safe place to crash. San Francisco will source the needle and the safe place so half our man’s problem is already solved.

A tale of two cities:
It was the worst of times, it was the worst of times.

I wrote this comment on Sheriff Clarks fine article which was posted here a few days ago:
Sheriff Clark has a pretty good read on whats happening here. But Im going to show why his solutions cant and wont be implemented.
Johnson needs to implement stop, question and frisk.
This is forbidden by a stupid consent decree that Johnson signed off on. President Trump tossed it out on the Federal level but it was implemented almost verbatim by the State Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Yes, that Lisa Madigan. The one whose dad is under Federal indictment for corruption. See how it works?
He needs to aggressively conduct warrant sweeps for all known gang members and debrief everyone arrested to gain more information.
That is a fine idea. But CPD doesnt have the manpower to do it effectively and it would most likely spark a shooting war with the gangs. Not to mention that the arrestees would be back on the streets in hours due to the absolutely criminally irresponsible Judges. Ill get to that in a moment.
He needs to work with the Department of Probation and Parole to search homes and vehicles for drugs and weapons.
Another fine idea. But that Department is shot through with patronage hires who wouldnt leave their offices at bayonet point.
He needs to get a commitment from prosecutors and judges for high bail to keep these miscreants off the street for the longest period allowable by law.
Heres the root of one of the problems in Chicago. Judges simply will not commit to this course of action. Judges who would do this dont exist here. Heres what Chicago gets for judges: https://www.chicagotribune.com/politics/ct-met-cara-smith-anne-burke-appointed-judge-20190607-story.html
Increasing traffic stop activity in high violence areas is another essential proactive approach Johnson can implement.
Another fine idea. And it would probably help if the CPD had another 500 or so officers to pull it off. But the mayor has them sitting on Lake Shore Drive with their thumbs up there backsides. Scroll down a bit to see it for yourself:

The only way to seriously tamp down the mindless violence in Chicago is to call out the National Guard and deputize them with powers of arrest. Put a company of trigger pullers into each of the dozen or so neighborhoods that are killing fields. Give them laptops with pictures of the wanted. Authorize them to stop and frisk. Any felon caught with a firearm goes directly to the Federal system. Bypass the local joke judges entirely.
Pin an ATF Agent to each squad and arrest them on the spot. Dont send them to County Jail, send them straight to MCC and plunk their asses in front of a Federal Judge. When word gets out that theyre looking at 5 years in Federal prison with zero chance of parole things will calm down.
At least for a while anyway.
But all this is moot because the REAL problem in Chicago is 4 generations of feral YBMs who have never been taught civilization. And absolutely no one in a position of real authority will dare mention that.
So the killings will go on and on and on.
Sorry, but thats how things are in Chicago.

I moved out, but I sometimes go to Downtown where you have the contrast of businessmen in big beautiful buildings and bums.
Aggravated battery, meaning an attack causing permanent disfiguring injuries, carries a 3 to 5 year sentence. It’s clear that shootings aren’t just accepted in Chicago, they are encouraged.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for drug addicts. People don’t know that heroin will destroy your life and kill you today?
I can have empathy for people with mental illness. The free needle exchange is just a handout of free needles, no exchange takes place. Playgrounds are now filled with needles, no one takes their child to playgrounds in the city.
I grew-up in the city during the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s. I have never seen the drug culture this bad and out in the open.
Gang violence is down but drug zombie deaths are way up.
Whatever they are doing is not working. Narcan just delays the inevitable.
Why are people turning to needles? Why do they want to throw away their lives?
Its clear that shootings arent just accepted in Chicago, they are encouraged.
Eleven of the nineteen individuals arrested on gun charges over the Memorial Day weekend were on the street by Tuesday. Seven were previously convicted felons and six had prior gun offenses in their backgrounds.

Being a felon in possession of a firearm is a Federal offense carrying a 5 year prison sentence. Yet not one of these people were referred for Federal prosecution. Not one.
The powers that be here could stop or radically reduce the violence if they wanted to. The fact is that they dont. Theres no other rational explanation.

In Chicago, Black on Black killing is actually not murder, it is culling the herd
The only cool things about Chicago is the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), the Navy Pier, A.I.C., and... uhhhhhm, I think that’s it. And if you hurry, you can knock all three of these out in a long day and GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE!
The municipal administration in Chicago has made it clear it will not support the police in any confrontation with the denizens of that star-crossed town.
So the police have pulled back. Kind of like LAPD did during the Rodney King riots — but this is an ongoing situation.
Meanwhile drugs are being legalized all over the country.
Sorry the Sheriffs message will go ignored
He had a chance to be something of great
assistance to Trump and to the USA and he lost it
Yep, in Chicago the job of the police is not to stop the gangs or the violence, just to sequester it and keep it in the ghetto as much as possible, and keep downtown, the Gold Coast and the Northside neighborhoods from being overrun.
and keep downtown, the Gold Coast and the Northside neighborhoods from being overrun.
Too late:

Yeah, the “flash mobs” have been happening for years on the mag mile.
Actually the Loop and Mag Mile is now over run too.
