NBC announced on Tuesday the five moderators for the first Democratic presidential primary debate, set for later this month.
Savannah Guthrie, Lester Holt, Chuck Todd, Rachel Maddow and José Diaz-Balart will moderate the debate, which will take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami over two nights on June 26-27.

To which candidates will NBC feed the questions in advance?
I thought it said 5 moderates.
I know there will be viewers, but it’s hard to believe anyone will even watch this.
Oh boy, they would plan it on days when I am visiting Jurassic Park.
(Sigh) I wish they’d stop calling it “Democratic.” There’s nothing democratic about the Democrats.
It would be a lot more fun to see elimination rounds. 4 to 5 candidates fielding questions from first liberal mods, then conservative mods and finally the audience pre-submitted questions.
First round would be a 2 hour tv show. Liberal mods ask question, random order to determine response order. Bottom 10% dont make it to the next round.
Second round, same structure but the questions come from conservatives. Again, bottom 10% dont make it to the next round.
Third round - audience questions
That should have narrowed the field enough to now have a debate.
FR should hold an informal sweepstakes on who the ultimate Dem nominee will be. Despite the large field they all seem to have major flaws.

Only the “true believers” will be watching.
Ratings should be lower than Hillary’s ethics.
I might tune in to see who Maddow gets in a fistfight with. FIVE moderators... yeesh. I half expect Chuck Todd get tired of being talked over repeatedly, and to give Maddow a blindside uppercut in frustration.

Since the whole platform is “I am not Trump and White People are Evil” flaws really don’t matter.
That’s their “moderating” team? Well don’t expect anything but fawning... and tingles up their knees.....

Right now, it’s pretty much Biden and Mayor Pete as the top two, with Bernie, Warren and Beto mentioned occasionally. I think around eight of the twenty-odd folks will be gone before we even get to Iowa. Between Iowa and South Carolina....figure at least seven more will be dropping out.
